Comment:

Great professor! Dr. Atwood works from an outline that he puts on the board before class so he stays on topic. I found him to be very entertaining, but only because I love dry humor. Coming to class every day is crucial to get all of the notes (a lot). For tests, focus on the vocabulary terms from the book that he lists out on the study guides.

Dr. Atwood is an excellent professor. Attendance in his class is mandatory, however he is very understanding if you miss a class with a good reason. His lectures range from interesting to eh..not so much. The assigned readings are a must do if you wish to pass with any semblance of a good grade in his class.

taught in a very unorganized and usless style. did not tell you how class was graded. tested on ridiculous terms as oppose to important ideas of Religion. unless you want to learn about his kids but be tested on nonsense, don't take this class

Dr. Atwood was a great teacher to have. He knows his stuff really well. Class is designed around a lecture frmat, with the majority of tst material from class which makes attendance manditory. Big part of calss is vocab from diff religions. Know the vocab and go to class and you'll do fine. 3 tests and 1 optional paper determine the grade.

Dr. Atwood is a wonderful man & great teacher! I loved going to clas & listening 2 his lectures. However tests are VERY hard. There are 3 tests total & 1 optional extra credit paper. What makes the tests so hard is how much info they cover; it's difficult to memorize so much at once & the vocab words very similar; must go 2 class its apart of grade

Dr. Atwood is a very thorough teacher. The first 1/3 of the semester is spent talking about the defintion of religion and is very hard to get through but if you make it through that the rest is fun. His tests are pretty easy as long as you read the book and do the study guides. His lectures are fun.

He is one of those guys that after you meet you think "wow, that is one amazing man". His class is based on actually showing up and taking notes. However, he is very clear with how he structures everything, giving studyguides for the homework readings and telling exactly how his tests are set up.

Dr. Atwood is no doubt a difficult teacher but he is a great one. His lectures are to the point and he is also quite humourous. But what really makes him an awesome professor is his willingness to talk to his students at any time. He WANTS you to do your best and will help out in any way he can.

This teacher was terrible. His class was extremely hard and studying did me no good. I studied 14-19 hours for every test and still didn't make above a 70! He is a good teacher but you will not make an A in his course. It's just crappy! 3 test. THAT'S it!
