I enjoyed taking Professor Basile's class. He is a smart well informed teacher. He knows what he is teaching very well. He is good with getting the students involved and having them learn not only through the text book, but also with practice in class. If I can i would go out of my way to take a second year language with this professor.

This teacher gives just the right amount of homework each week. It's enough to keep you busy, but never feels excessive. You'll learn best in his class if you really put the work in yourself. He answers questions well. Because of his deep understanding of Italian, he explains things excellently and is able to simplify confusing topics. A+ teacher!

Mr. Basile is a very patient and kind person. He explains things very well and goes over all of the material we do in class and at home. You will not be left wondering in his class. I took Italian when I was in High school, but I wish I had him as a teacher. He goes step by step and is extremely organized. I loved his class. He is funny too.

I took him for intro to Spanish this summer and he was very helpful because learning a new language isn't easy at all. Whenever you needed help he was there to assist you. I would definitely take classes with him again.

Professor Basile was great! He has such a great attitude and is very approachable. He goes through the material pretty fast but makes sure to go over everything repeatedly and thoroughly. Very willing to help you if there is something you don't understand. Overall a great teacher and a great person!

Never taken a foreign language? Apprehensive at the thought of doing so? If so Professor Basile is the instructor for you. He is gifted at putting you at ease & he truly loves to teach. You will find yourself enjoying this new experience whole heartedly; while gaining the useful knowledge & art of conversing in a second language. He's a RARE GEM!
