Sullivan - the intimidator. There is no doubt that she knows her material. She's been teaching it for over 29 years. She imposes her study ethics on others who have a much fuller load than she ever had at MSL. Does not allow students to ask questions - tells them to figure it out on their own. Hard to do when classmates are briefing incorrectl

As a Professor I found her tough but fair but as a Dean I found her to be bias. I had a legitimate complaint against a professor (her friend) she totally didnt even want to hear my complaint She Made it all a joke but after I screamed at her with threats of litigation and complaints to the Board of Bar overseers she finally took action after weeks

Prof Sullivan is very demanding of her students, but with her it's a fair game because she is just as demanding of herself!. VERY very Clear ! everything she says goes straight into your head ! Teaches really hard material and she is really good at it! Took K's with her not with Devlin, although I love Devlin, was very happy I got her for Contracts

Comment:

Tough and demanding because she cares and will bring out the best in you. It's ok to be wrong, as long as you did your work and tried. She expects a lot from students and it seems like it sucks during the semester, but you can look back and realize that you learned a lot and she got your best from you in a positive way. Quality professor.

Prof Diane Sullivan is the toughest and will show you The Real World! Makes you learn like no other teacher, Real Boot Camp ! If you get C+ consider this like getting an A. Took both Contract Courses, UCC Bar Q was on negotiable instruments, reviewed my notes during the break at the Bar, got UCC Q right after. Passed the Bar 1st Try! thank U

Professor Sullivan cares! This is why she is so passionate in her teaching and has high expectations for her students. She will not let you slide by because she wants to make sure you are prepared for the bar and for future practice. An excellent teacher that I feel very fortunate to have been able to learn from. One of the best/talented professors at the school (which is an art in itself- teaching that is) who- although strict- makes you work and learn the material- i admire how she does not play 'favorites' and treats all her students the same - regardless of status and never creates a situation where someone feels left out.

Tough! Tough! Tough! But you WILL learn! No nonsense in the classroom and you'd better be prepared or you WILL lose points! Do not miss classes or you will miss important gems which WILL be tested! Enjoyed the strictness and demands of this class. Wish I had it first semester. Must stay up with cases or can potentially lose points. Biggest drawback is perhaps that most people put all their effort into this class which makes grade competition that much fiercer. However, as stated, a really nice professor with a great attitude. Enjoy

Diane Sullivan is a great person and a great teacher but she brings her personal issues into the classroom...telling people she's had a bad day and basically not to cross her. This is unprofessional for a woman who demands the utmost professionalism from her students who basically think quite highly of her.

Professor Sullivan is intimidating and tough on students but you will never learn more from any Prof. than with her. She is detailed and meticulous and she knows her contract law. I hated contract law but did learn a lot from her class. Make sure to read all of the cases and be prepared for class or she will kick you out of class.

Professor Sullivan is one of the best professors I have ever had. She's tough, strict, fair, caring, and straight up. She doesn't give or take BS. Lots of work. You will definitely cover the entire text. She cold calls which is a good thing... keeps you on your feet attention-wise and forces you to not lag on your reading. One of the best.
