Comment:
There is no question that Prof Martin is a respected law professor, but he is also a kind gentleman. He is very soft spoken and his lectures are hard to hear, even on tape. Many students don't relate to him, which is a shame. If you haven't been through life, you won't understand his lectures or hypotheticals. Very tough grader, exams are rough

Extremely interesting class. Great hypothetical scenarios and interesting discussion as well as the usual law school case study. He really goes out of his way to make the material interesting and colorful.

Lectures are very dry. Not helpful at all in office meetings. He will be rude, belittle you, and give no feedback. Photocopy his answers from his past exams. On my final exam, Professor Martin forgot to grade 2 pages of my exam. My grade went from a C- to a C+. I gained 12 points as a result of his error. MAKE SURE YOU REVIEW YOUR EXAM ANSWERS.

Not the most exciting subject, but Martin will make you read the rules, then apply them. For the first half of the semester, study the rules, second half study the cases.

Very knowledgable, always willing to help. Advice for his class, read the rules, over and over and over. Spend more time on the rules and less time on the cases.

I did well but let's just say I'm glad I'm done with the class...he is OLD SCHOOL HARVARD, which makes his teaching irrelevant for today's world...Boring classes...you'll have to teach yourself...The way I look at it is I got a HARVARD class at MSL price!

If you enjoy listening to the dumbest fifth of the class talk about "what they think" the case is about, without correction from the professor, you will enjoy class. The actual classes were too boring and potentially poisonous to my brain to risk attending. Advice: Prepare a proper outline and you can do extremely well on the exams.

Martin is a nice man. Very old school. His final exam was insane, though. Class can be confusing at times and highly unstructured. Sat morning reviews not helpful. He can also be quite boring and class feels like it drags on. Again, he's a nice guy and always at school and open to speak with students/answer questions.

Professor Martin is a very nice man, but as a teacher he sucks... Had to learn on my own, final is an open book, but very hard. Alex on Saturdays does not offer that much help either. Class does not have any structure whatsoever.

If they were only more gentlemen, like Martin in the world?.it would be a better place! Not an easy subject, but you will have ways to bump up your grade, quizzes and project & the luxury counted midterm. Don?t forget that it is an open book and there is a section on Saturday, Alex is great and will give you extra on-line and in person support.

Prof Martin is a good prof, a little boring and dry but a good prof. His tests are open book/open notes/open laptop but be careful, they turn the internet off during finals. Uses a midterm for 40% and the rest is the final. A mediocre experience.

Prof. Martin is a brilliant professor who really enjoys teaching. It is easy to do well in the class if you stay prepared - he will stop calling the roster so those who don't do well just don't do the work. If you keep up and do a great outline that is all you will need to get an A.

Eloquent and carries himself like a gentleman. Old school in terms of teaching style and manner, but very friendly and helpful even though he speaks in a monotone. Aloof at times, but extremely brilliant. Open book exam and quizzes. Hard to get As and Bs, but very fair grader. Study aids are very useful since he often speaks over you. He sometimes
