If you are trying to knock out a credit requirement by taking this class, do not let the two "poor" and "awful" reviews of her deter you. You will learn the subject well from this Professor. Pay close attention to how she wants you to approach your exam and you will succeed e.g. creating an outline of your analysis prior to the typed essay.

Professor McKenzie really loves the subject of administrative law and her presentation is fairly on-target. Unfortunately she grades quite strictly on the essay portion of the final. This tends to bring final grades down considerably. If she were to grade on a curve, or be more forgiving students would be better off. Best intentions abound, but...

Very strict grader. Don't be surprised if your results in this class are way off from all your other classes. If you don't want to mess up your GPA, avoid her classes.

Professor McKenzie's course was extremely helpful! Not only was it a great opportunity to learn different research methods- but the methods and information directly related to a subject I cared about. Additionally, the weekly assignments kept me "honest" and the final paper served as my writing sample Definitely worth taking.

Professor McKenzie is extremely helpful and kind. She is very up front about what is expected of students. She also has a true passion for her craft of research. Her class can't be used for the writing requirement, but is a practical skills class. It makes us better lawyers although it requires the curiousity and drive to find an answer.

This is an excellent course that takes an in depth look at legal research sources. I learned much more than I anticipated. Professor McKenzie is very knowledgeable and always willing to meet outside of class. She is also willing to provide feedback to the draft of your final paper and meet individually to discuss it, which is very helpful.

This class is horrible. If you are wanting to expand your legal research this is NOT the class to take. You will not learn anything useful for your legal career. She grades harder than she tells you. Way more work than 2 credits. Very boring. You'll benefit more from a Lexis training. Weekly worksheets that are a lot of work but aren't worth much.

Not as easy as a class as one would expect. Meet with her to discuss the paper to make sure you arent missing something. Her grading seems easy at first but is not. Class is boring but if you need to do legal research good for that.
