Great professor. If you have great attendance, try to participate and do the work, you will undoubtedly get a good grade. His lectures can be a little boring but take notes on what he writes on the board, because what he writes is literally the exact material on the test, and he let's you use your notes. Very sympathetic and helpful.

Great professor. His class on intellectual property law was extremely interesting, and I loved every moment of it. There were 4 tests that were open book and are fairly easy. If you pay attention in class, ask questions, and participate you will get an A.

Professor McJohn is honestly one of my favorite professors I have had. He is well versed in the field of IP Law, and will always be available with questions outside the classroom. As an Advertising major, the course was easy for a non-law student to understand and pairs well with the career. Classes were occasionally dull but tests were easy.

Mcjohn was a great professor. He is clear in presenting the material and continues to review all of the material throughout the entire semester. He takes his time in presenting the material and really uses examples to make the information more clear.

I honestly wasn't interested in Article 9 but Professor McJohn was a wonderful professor. He was always willing to meet, email and make sure he answered my questions. I really like him even though, honestly, the material was a bit dry. What a super nice guy!

Recommended class. If you pay attention, he does a great job of explaining the topics. Certainly not the most interesting of topics, but if you need to take the class, you can't do much better than McJohn!

Great teacher. Makes it as plain as possible for you to understand. Open book test and multiple choice. If you study at all for the test, you will do ok. If you study a lot, you will do great. If you don't go to class or study, you get what you deserve.

Smart guy, boring lecturer. Took both Secured Transactions and Commercial Paper. E&E's are extremely helpful. Multiple choice exams. Did minimal work, received fine grades, no complaints.

Solid professor - straight forward in terms of what he expects out of a survey IP course. Read the E & E either during the course or while studying. Exam is open everything, so bring all the stuff you have. Overall he does a good job conveying basic IP law. Highly recommend him if you have a few tougher classes and need some breathing room.

I took all of Prof. McJohn's classes and he is one of the best professors at SULS. He treats students as though we were attorneys and he explains the concepts in practical and real world terms. You will come out of his classes knowing much more about the subjects that you would with any other professor. I highly recomend all of his classes.

If you do all of the assigned reading (not much) and attend almost all of the classes, the exam is ok, however, skip reading or classes and you will not do well. He rewards those who attend class with a few questions. Also, buy Glannon's guide for the exam.

Final is open book/open notes and you have 3 hours to answer 30-40 multiple choice questions...I didn't go to any classes, barely studied and got B+s in two different classes. He doesn't take attendance and any professor that does should be fired.

Had him for Commercial Paper. Nice guy but pretty boring. His exam was much harder than I expected. Buy his Glannon Guide and memorize it. Doing that ensures a decent grade. But overall, this class isn't worth your time unless you really want/need to know this material.

This class and the final exam were deceptive. He is a very clear, kind teacher, but I think he'd heard his reputation for easy A's and gave a blindingly tough and tricky exam. Advice: read the questions carefully, go over all the problems that he goes over in class and get the Glannon Guide to Secured Transactions. The problems are very helpful.

This guy has a smooth and logical teaching style. I came out understanding the rules and policies really well. Of the more than 20 Profs I've had so far at Suffolk, he's one of the best.

Absolutely the most boring professor on the planet. No kidding. The guy should be a sleeping pill. I was moderately interested in the subject, but couldn't stay awake in class. Both times I went. I was happy about the exam, though. I'm sure he is smart and good at something, but teaching is not it. Seems like a nice guy, too.

Should be a 2 credit class considering he lets you out early every day & cancels several classes. Attend every class! Yes the final is easy, but he always sneaks in a few questions that won't be evident from the PowerPoints or reading. You wanna A- instead of a B? Attend every class. Nice guy. Clear. Not someone to take if you like to be challenged
