He's a nice guy, but I don't recommend for night students. He assigns 70 pages of reading a week. He also felt shaky on the material himself, so consulting supplements is a must. His MC Q's are messy and confusing. He's often unclear on what the right answer is, so quizzes/exams are HARD. Otherwise friendly, understanding, gentle cold-caller.

VERY dry lectures. No cold calling as long as people participate. I never did the readings because he wouldn't stick to them anyway. Weekly discussion posts that even HE said he rarely read. Midterm Memo/Report that seems easy but he graded too harshly (4 grammatical suggestions apparently 80%).

While his lectures are rather dry, he's very nice and approachable. The class consisted of weekly TWEN postings, several short group assignments, a class presentation, and a 20 page final paper. He told us he rarely gives lower than a B in this course, so if you complete the assignments you will end up with a good grade.

Lustig has a lot of tangents. He is a bit dry, but he is always willing to explain things to you. I had him for Torts and Nonprofits. I learned nothing in Torts. But I learned a lot in Nonprofits. He loves tax exemptions and business so he explains it well.

He is a smart guy and expects students to think! He is not an easy grader and is very abstract but requires that you know the basics. The class is the baseline for all of law and he demands both text book answers and original thought-the only class I actually felt comfortable swearing in, not at the prof. but about a case regarding the damages.

At the beginning of the semester, I was a little intimidated. But in time I realized how helpful he really is if you just ask. I learned a lot more than I thought I did. The final was a take-home project that was pretty rough (time-consuming), but I put the time in and got an A.

Torts has a bad reputation which is a little unfair. Lustig is a great professor to have as an introduction to law school. He makes a lot of jokes and tries really hard to keep everyone interested and involved in class.

Lustig is great. He seems intimidating at first but is very helpful and makes time for students to ask plenty of questions if they need to. He also includes lots of in class hypos/exercises to help make sure you understand the material and he offers a review session before the exam and handouts throughout the semester that will help you study

Easy to follow. Goes over problems in detail. Responds to questions. Ungraded quizzes are a helpful indicator of progress.

Professor Lustig is indescribably boring. He doesn't put a lot of effort into the lectures, and there is absolutely no way for you to tell if you are getting the material, because he doesn't go over any hypos. He just kind of rambles about life in the business world, which, by the way is not tested on the bar.

Lustig is one of the worst teachers I've had thus far. Torts is not his specialty; you can tell. We never got our "midterm" quiz back until days before the final. He comes across as very lazy. He puts up a wall between himself and his students. I'm not sure if he's just insecure, or really just doesn't care. Either way, it's not helpful.

Gave a take home final. I had my outline, as well as three others. Also referenced other outside sources. My essays were perfect, as I had plenty of time to research and draft them. Lustig didn't show up for our first appointment, then was unable to tell me why he gave me a B at the meeting he actually showed up for. Should have gone to the de

his exams are absolutely ridiculous. the final is impossible to finish absolutely impossible and that has has never happened to me before so... and due to this time crunch, it does not matter how well you know the material, bc you dont have enough time to form a normal thought and then put it on paper. otherwise, hes really a nice guy.

Professor Lustig is the typical law school professor. He doesn't answer questions in class DIRECTLY (if they are evident if you do the reading carefully). Instead, he poses questions in return to get you thinking about the material. I felt the final was fair. You can tell he really cares about his students.

He seems to really care about students but there is a disconnect somewhere. He seemed to make a relatively straightfoward subject like Torts seem way too cumbersome.Simply cannot answer a question without posing another. not helpful. at all.

If it weren't for NESL's 20 percent attendance threshold, I would have never gone to class. It is frustrating to realize that you dropped thousands of dollars on an education that would be better served by dropping $50 on the E & E. While he clearly knows his stuff, he has absolutely no business teaching, especially not to 1L's.

This class should be called Unanswered Tangents 101- Torts should be one of the few classes where questions can be answered with confidence, but we drag on every class... Good Luck...

Very difficult professor. Final exam was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen; it is not meant to be finished, as it was so long. Multiple choice questions are impossible. Kept class engaged, but difficult concepts such as causation are still foreign to me. I didn't use a supplement, but I'd suggest getting one.
