I don't know what to say. He knows that we are struggling; he even not willing to curve the scores just because it is an online course. Even if you write a correct answer, he takes points off because it is not the same way he wants. He always assumes you copied your answers from the solution manual. He should think of retirement.

He didnt give clear lectures and the exams were way way out there. He couldnt have made this class more difficult than he just did. 3 exams made up the whole grade and he dropped the second exam so the final is worth more than half my grade.

Professor Okoh is quite literally, the worst professor I have ever had. He is very unorganized and it is hard to understand him. The only grades you get are from the 3 exams and an essay. No reviews and doesn't give tests back. If you don't have to take him, don't. Even if you do, I would find a way to get out of his class.

I know that the other reviews say that his tests are based off of the homework but that definitely wasn't true for the fall 2020 semester. His tests were much harder and conceptual. He didn't even let me look at my mistakes so I didn't know how to do better on the next tests. He teaches directly from the book in the most literal sense possible.

He honestly deserves a zero as a rating. Worst professor ever. The entire class is only out of 100 points from exams and he grades them harshly with no curve. Lectures are useless but attendance matters so I went. The only reason I did well was from Youtube. His accent is very thick and hard to understand. Did not handle teaching online well.

I do not recommend taking him if you are an engineering student, he was unable to properly convey a basic understanding of Diff Equ.

Professor Okoh is a very nice man. However, it is very difficult to understand him. Granted, the subject matter is very abstract, he was not good at explaining it at all. His personality does keep the class light (not intense) and he has no problem working with you after class. He grades hard but he gives a huge curve. The curve is why I passed.

Nice, caring teacher, but you can't get anything out of the lectures. Tests aren't impossible, but this course is for a motivated self learner.

Please. Do NOT take Professor Okoh. Hes extremely hard to follow and is unclear in almost everything he talks about in class. Hes shown almost no care to help students in the class, and gets offended if you question something that he does wrong. Ive struggled mightily trying to learn from him, as almost none of the stuff you do in class helps

I wish I had enough words to describe how horrible this professor is. I can barely understand him, but even if I did he teaches NOTHING helpful in class (word for word examples and definitions from the book). I only show up to class for attendance (syllabus doesn't say if it's necessary) and to do other hw, besides that have fun teaching yourself

I loved that he is never in a rush. Takes his time, and calls the material the class's "story". Always a big smile on his face. The way he thinks about the material helped a lot - he made the math much less intimidating, and brought it down to an understandable level.

This was the hardest class I have taken so far. His accent is really thick but he writes everything he says on the board. Homework is not mandatory but definitely do it, and do NOT wait a few days before the test if you enjoy your sanity. Tests are hard but graded on a HUGE curve, which is the only reason I was able to pass.

Final % (E1+E2+E3)/3 - 2N with each E being an Exam and N number of absences (even if it is 1 for a funeral you lose 2% of your grade). NOTHING ELSE IS GRADED! Oh and his thick accent is tough to decipher. 'B' and 'D' sound the same. Tries to be funny: 'No degrees always radians, as in every actor is pi/30 radians away from Kevin Bacon.'

He only has 3 exams. Drops 1. Nothing else is graded. He assigns homework(ungraded), and as long as you know those problems, you are golden in his class. He pulls the exam problems STRAIGHT out of the assigned problems. The only reason to not get an A in this class is if you neglected his homework by thinking "well, its not graded, so who cares."

Very unorganized and grading system was insanely unreasonable. Only 3 exams make up your entire grade. Dropped this class two weeks in.

Very funny, kind guy with a unique teaching style. Be aware of his harsh grading- even if your proof is correct, he will mark you off if your proof is "too long". He is the only math professor in the department that I know of that does this.

Came to class only for attendance. Prof is unclear when teaching, so i ended up just teaching myself from the book. Tough grader. Even though you got the answer right he will take points off for little things like if you over explained things. Only 3 tests. Homework, but he doesn't check it. Hard to understand, because of his heavy accent.

The class is a mess. Most of the time, no one has a clue what he's doing or, more importantly, why he's doing it. He wastes a LOT of time on stupid things that make sense, while making huge assumptions and logical jumps when explaining the tougher things. If you ask a question, the second answer will still be unclear. Nice guy, but not a good prof.

Personally, he is a nice guy. Laughs a lot. He strikes me as the type who is so into what he does that he has trouble with simpler things, like ironing his shirt. His class was a hard-earned B, and I spent dozens of hours practicing for the exams. The lectures seem sort of random and hard to follow. I would not recommend him or take him again.

He's a sweet guy, smart, tries to be funny, but not the best prof. Good luck following his notes because they aren't straight forward. No homework and partial credit on tests for showing work. Not bad if you're already a math person, but if you're not you spend a lot of time outside of class getting extra help or you're pretty much doomed. :D
