Comment:
Glannon is a poet of the law. The E.E. Cummings of Torts. His lectures are soliloquies that would remain as unaltered in a room of 10 1L's as they would a room of 100. That being said his lectures are phenomenal. He is so well versed in both teaching and the law that it would be difficult not to absorb the information. Seek out Joey G at all costs.

Excellent for Torts, Civ Pro, or any other class. Do not hesitate to take his class. Calls on students randomly but doesn't act like a jerk when students don't know the answer. Very organized, highly recommended.

Best Professor ever. He is very patient and willing to teach you even after the class. His exam is not hard if you really read his textbook and think about the questions he asked during the class. You can learn Torts and Civil Procedure in a very clear and easy way even if these are very hard subject. Definitely would recommend Professor Glannon

Great Professor. Although his lectures can be a bit dry at times, you will enjoy his course. He teaches from his E&E book as well as the textbook. His exams are very fair if you do your part. If ever you do not understand, approach him during office hours. He is always there and ready to answer.

Great teacher. Need to be prepared - Read the cases and read his e and e. Although he doesnt mention that participating helps your grade I think it does. Definitely did not feel confident leaving his exam but I somehow got an A-. I think the participation helped.

People knock him as narcissistic for teaching closely out of the book. But if you wrote a book for your class, wouldn't you follow it? It makes him more effective because the text adheres to the class. He responds well to questions, is very approachable, and is very helpful one-on-one. Lectures are slightly dry, but he's effective if you focus.

Little interest in the subject going in, a ton of respect for it and knowledge of it coming out. He makes the nitty gritty mechanics of the court system interesting with his grand hypotheticals and knowledge of evolvement in the field. Definitely the best "explainer" professor I've had at SU, and the best at outlining a course. Highly recommend.

Glannon proves why he is the man when it comes to the subject of Civil Procedure. Although it seems he is very autocratic in his teachings, he speaks with such clarity & works to make sure his students fully understand the complexities surrounding CivPro. Count yourself lucky & blessed to have studied with this man.

This man knows his stuff! Don't try and correct him unless you are 120% you are right or else he will embarrass you in front of the class. Cold calls all the time so be ready if you look like you're not paying attention. Exam had tons of issues to spot which made it very time consuming to attempt to answer fully.

Glannon is an excellent professor and presents material in a way that makes everything crystal clear and easy to understand. He has a series of "Glannon-isms" you'll really enjoy. However, a previous review was absolutely correct in stating that he'll acknowledge you by name in class and then won't know who you are in his office or in the halls.

Fantastic professor. Offers clear and concise explanations of tort law. Values quality legal analysis and application of the law over mindless memorization of facts and rules. A challenging course indeed, but all of the tools are provided for the students to succeed.

Makes mistakes, believe it or not, in explaining the law, once in a while. Egotistical. Actually encourages students to seek work in other states because of the competitive Boston market. Obviously does not think much of his student body. I guess he can't get a job teaching at a better school. I don't think he cares about students.
