SO SO SO boring. He gets off topic about every five minutes. If you haven't seen the old classic movies, the analogies he makes won't make sense to you! His tests are easy if you study.

Nice teacher. Study for the study guides, and his lecture notes.Sometimes he add some extra points on exams. Exams break down:10 matching-maps(1pt/each),20 filling the blanks(2pts/each), 50 multiple choices (1pt/each).

I took Dr. Phillips for the second section of history. He is a hard teacher. His lectures get off topic often. His lectures aren't very helpful either. I ended up dropping out of his class the week before finals and plan on taking the other History teacher this semester. And I consider myself a pretty good student. He only graded from 4 tests.

He is so monotoned that some people miss out on how hilarious this guy is. All you have to do is pay attention to his lecture and you will do fine on the tests. His tests come straight from the study guide he PROVIDES. It's a boring subject, but he make it bearable.

Mr. Phillips' class was the most unpleasent class I have ever taken. He thinks he is teaching at Harvard. His lectures will bore you to death. I do not recommend this class to anyone.

I took him in the fall of 2007. He is an extremely easy teacher and his study guides come right from his lectures and are exactly like the test. He does sometimes ramble on about other subjects and it can get a little boring. All in all hes funny and I never even bought the book and recieved an A!!!!!!!!1

Great teacher, really knows his stuff. Test material was representative of what was covered in class. Funny guy, really tried to make the class bearable for those who weren't really into it. Wish he could have been at my transfer school! Keep up the great work :)

Unless he has changed his methods since I took him in 2002, buy his study guide in the book store for a dollar and do it from his lecture outline, study that and you have it made. You'll learn the material in his class and he throws in jokes all the time to keep it light-hearted. Cool dude.

Very intelligent within his field. Some students do not get his jokes, but they are very funny. Most of the students are too young to understand. Good Job Dr. Phillips!
