Good professor. You definitely have to read and come to every class for quizzes, but she keeps class interesting. As long as you keep up with reading and write pretty good essays, you should be able to get an A with some effort.

I read other comments before this course & expected an easy A. Yet, I found she isn't "hard", but not an easy A either. I had a rough semester, probably could have made an A with a little more effort. Overall, she is a nice teacher and I don't regret taking her. Yet, she does talk to you like a child sometimes and doesn't like to repeat herself.

Her class drove me crazy. If you aren't an English person, take it. However, if you are looking for any form of insight into the heavy reading you will have to do, avoid her. She teaches material she doesn't understand past a shallow level, and has middle school- like class discussions. The class isn't hard, but her grading is very detailed.

Personally she irritated me to death. She is nit-picky and asks questions on obscure issues. The best you can do it seems is an 89 in a class that should garner at least an easy A. Harry Potter was fun in the beginning but alas she will irritate you into hating it. No bueno

Ok so some of us in the class thought that she gave us remedial busy work. She also kinda talked to the students as if we were in high school. I had personal issues with her because she never answered my emails. I also had a 79.5 in the class and she refused to give me a B. Class was ok, wouldnt recommend her though.

I loved Mrs. Geren and this class. She really loves the subject and tries to make it interesting for everyone. She is also good at leading group discussions and keeping them going. I definitely recommend her!!! (We read Harry Potter!)

This teacher has an awesome personality. She makes class discussion vert fun an upbeat. She gives you every oppurtunity to do well in this class. She grades a little stiff but, gives awesome examples of what to expect on test. Oh yeah, I don't mind saying she is a little hot also. Take her class, she is a great teacher.

Her class was probably the most interesting English class i've ever had. She's understands the "real world" and relates the class to it. And she made class discussions about as interesting as a English class can. The only thing is that she is pretty strict on grading. MAKE SURE you know exactly what she wants on her tests.

A little hard on grading but she is not out to fail you. Takes a little effort to get an A, but it is not impossible. At least tries to make the last interesting (as interesting as resume writing and memo writing can be I guess). But she was a cool teacher, I enjoyed having her.
