Comment:

I enjoy listening to Dean Coyne's lectures. I took remedies on-line. This is a great class, but I would recommend the in-class version because there is so much interaction in the class and the tape recordings are poor quality. He conveys just the right amount of material with real life examples and has good rapport with his students.

Comment:

Coyne is a good professor, he cares about you learning but as a Dean he is lacking in that he has this school boy mentality with his friend Professors, any complaints against his friends are not taken seriously. I had a valid complaint against one of his friends and he totally failed to act until I told him I would sue. GOOD GUY BUT BIG EGO

Comment:

Takes a difficult subject and brings it down to a level where you can understand and relate. Important to brief every case and focus on what he teaches because he tests what he teaches. Don't get bogged down with commercial outlines, he doesn't follow them. His TA - Demitriadis is entirely different and grades hard.

Comment:

Professor Coyne is a great professor. This is a first year class so it is to be expected that the first year students will have questions that others feel are "stupid". Professor Coyne thoughtfully and respectfully addresses and answers these questions in a way that everyone in the classroom benefits by. I would recommend taking a class with Coyne.

If you're looking to teach yourself Civil Procedure instead of actually learning it from a professor, take Coyne! We have learned absolutely nothing all semester, have listened to the stupidest questions on earth, and will probably all get C's for no reason. At least I know what an injunction is.

Extremely articulate orator, makes class fun- sometimes so fun that people go on irrelevant tangents, frequently gets off the topic of the case or concept to talk about moral issues facing lawyers, doesn't communicate parameters or feedback adequately or consistently so as to facilitate improvement.

A really really great teacher. Teaches you LAW straight up, with real examples, real legal language, real zest and excitement. Cares greatly about Law and Students. Took Civil Pro with his as well as evidence. Seemed cold at first, then, he warms up. Hugs everyone at graduation :) Law School experience would not have been the same w out him

Defin knows his stuff. Teaches you what you need to know. Makes you learn. Big on defin, gives you what you need to learn the law.He has his faves (trial team)and does leave after class if over. But... he is always avail in his office. Never had any issues but have heard others who he really stood up for. Takes no crap when issues come up w/studnts

Mike Coyne is a really great teacher. He should come up with a couple times he's available for Q & A's as his unwillingness to talk to some people after class hurts him. He makes time for who he wants to & I'm not one of those people but I think he's a good man and a good teacher.

He is an excellent professor! He is very enthusiastic about teaching. Professor Coyne gives you everything you need, so you don't need any outside sources. As long as you parrot back everything he says - you will do great!

I have found Professor Coyne to be very helpful and very approachable regarding school and family issues. I learn well with his teaching method and have retained much of what I have learned from him thus far. Two years into law school and he is still my favorite professor
