I did not like taking Geog 1200 online with Bain. She did not respond back to two of my emails this semester. The exams are TOUGH and proctored. If you can, do not take it online, take it with a different prof.

I took this course online with Bain and regret every single day that i did. She told me that i "that she couldn't meet with me for office hours because she was busy". She clearly can't handle an online class, she never answers emails and pulls vague and random things from the book. DO NOT TAKE GEOG 1200 WTIH BAIN!!!

every comment on here is right. she's putrid. it is a chore for her to email back, and she can't word questions to save her life. just took 102 question final, 90 were fill in the blank/short answer. don't ever take her calss, especially online. she is HORRIFIC.

Taking the class online and I am amazed that she ever became a professor. The info she sends out is unreadable. Her lesson questions are poorly worded and confusing. Only plus is I don't have to go to class and sit through what I can only imagine would be the worst lecture ever. Online tests are fairly easy if you can figure out what she's asking.

The class seemed like it should be easy but the tests were pretty hard. The stuff she went over in class wasn't hard to remember but she takes so much random stuff out of the book for tests it's hard telling what she will really test you on.

This class was death! I loved the subject prior to the class, even was considering it as a major. but bain ruined it! she's kind of rude and only likes certain students. her test are hard and that's with using her powerpoints and attending class regularly. i suggest another teacher in this topic. i hear they're much better.

The first test was easy, and was on her lectures. The second was the opposite- very hard, not following what was discussed in class. The main problem is the way she words questions- it can be very hard to figure out what she meant. She goes over possible Q's, but no study guide. Field trip & short paper were required. Very willing to provide help.

I went to class everyday, made no difference. Her tests are harder than any test I've ever laid eyes on. The only reason I didn't fail is because the class average was curved UP to 70%. I had a lot of passion about the subject early on, but lost all interest by the end. Do yourself a favor, and don't even try, because she is a horrible teacher.

This class is seemingly easy, but the exams are really really hard, the the first seemed to be on the notes, the second on the book. The class as a whole does very poorly and she still doesn't curve ANY grades. I wouldn't reccomend taking her.

she is the worst professor i have ever had. she doesnt' know how to teach, and what she does teach isn't on the tests. She makes up your grades and wears the same 3 outfits the whole quarter. good luck if you take this class, you'll need it.

They don't call her scatter brained bain for nothing. Everything's on blackboard, but she seems to make up assignments and reading. Every day in class it seemed we were all looking at each other asking what the hell she was talking about! If you want a real laugh check out her office!

She was a super great teacher, very helpful, very clear about what she wanted from you. ppl's problem with her was that they said she wasn't clear but she gives study guides. All her power points are on black board, so it's easy if you actually decide to show up and study. But it is super important to go to the classes and all the labs.

Bain isn't bad at all. She can be a little confusing on what exactly she is talking about, but as long as you know the main topic of what you are not sure of, it is easy to read about it in the book. Studying notes and highlighting chapters is a given A.
