I graduated in 1989 from Alfred U. Dr. Paul Strong was one of my all time favorite professors. Dr. Strong instilled an interest in art (via Honors), that I never had before I met him. Glad to see Dr. Strong is still teaching.

I absolutely love Dr. Strong. His writing class is amazing, he expects just enough from you to get you to do your best, and my writing has definitely improved. Not to mention he is a really awesome guy.

Expects too much for a required class, we are not all english majors but this guy thinks everyone is. Expects books to be read 5 times and to rewrite your paper 20 times, hard as hell, i'm getting by working my hardest with a C

A very good writing teacher! I never really liked writing or considered myself a good writer, but after taking his class, I feel much more confident. Very helpful and great classes in general. Classes discuss the reading, so read the book! and are fun to hear everyone's opinions.

Tight attendance policy, but rarely any work due for class. Two 2-page papers, midterm, and final. Simple and explained well. Come to class early on test days, as you will have to write quickly and without stopping to complete all questions.

Dr. Strong is a very energetic fun professor. I do the work in his class because I want to do well and the subject matter is interesting not because he gives pop quizes to test your knowledge. It is always fun going to his class.
