Comment:

Sociology with professor Jarvis was easy. There was a lot of note-taking but that is about it. Course consisted of 3 Tests that included a one page response to questions he asked. Simple and easy. Take his class if you are interested in the field since he is very informed :).

Mr. Jarvis is an awesome professor. His teaching style demands you attention. You will not fall asleep in his class. I dont care how tired you are. The text book is not used during class but if you were to miss class notes you can sure find them in the book. Everything on the notes is on the exam.

Great teacher! speaks his mind, thats what i admire about this guy. He has opinion and says it. And he likes to hear other peoples opinions as well. Class is EASY 3 tests, take notes and you will pass with flying colors. But you must attend unless you have friends who will take notes for ya. class is very interesting so just go!

Easy Professor. He is pretty hyper during lecture but it keeps you interested. Just study for the 3 tests youll take and go to class, those are your only grades in the class. He is willing to work with you to help you out. Highly recommend

Marr&Fam-- He is a very good professor! IMPT ADVICE: Take Notes!! Very essential, didn't use the book a lot the semester I took, it (kinda waste of money for me). Great way of teaching, absorbs you in his class. I don't know about attendence I missed one day. But make sure you get his notes. EXCELLENT TEACHER! Peers, make sure u take notes!

At first I thought it was annoying because he walks alot sometimes I would get a headache just watching walk all over the place but through out the semester I enjoyed his class sooooooo much that I went back for more and I enrolled for another class, later I decided to major in sociology because he made this subject very enjoyable and interesting!

Besides the annoying pacing back and forth and all around the classroom he was a good educator. He explained everything clearly and using plenty of his own life experiences as examples. I enjoyed taking his class that i took family and marriage aswell.
