the best physics professor EVER. he makes everything understandable and shows you all kinds of tricks to solve things in an easier way. he's always available for extra help and is EXTREMELY clear when explaining things. tells you what he expects on his exams and doesn't try to trick you. i wish he taught every single course at school

Laird was amazingly clear, and in his time, was the best professor in the department. He's not at Trinity anymore -- he went to Texas Lutheran University where they actually appreciate his efforts. He really set the standard for these two classes, which Ugolini now teaches. Ugolini was 2nd to Laird and is now the best since Laird left.

Only had him for lab but, he was great! We were always out of lab hours before the other sections. :-) Explained everything above and beyond the call of clarity.

Experimental Physics is a totally evil course (6 hours/week) but Laird is the best prof you could ask for. He's incredibly accesable, helpful, and will explain things to you 6 times in a row in needed. His grading is tough but he prepares you well.
