Take this class. Hicks is the man. He explains the subject really well and is always more than willing to answer questions and he'll never make you feel stupid for asking. He's a fair grader and his test is very straight-forward. He doesn't throw any curveballs.

I'm certain that the subject matter is interesting, and one that's highly important for a future lawyer, but I am also certain that I have turned into an prokaryotik life form, a vegetable in this class. It is the stereotypical most boring lecture, you'll ever find yourself in.

Literally the worst teacher I've ever had. Nothing he says is clear or makes sense. If you want to know what a tort is, do not take this class.

Fantastic professor. Hicks is concise, clear, and brilliant. His dry British humor is unmatched! You will definitely get a great overview of Torts. Really forces you to synthesize the concepts. Great class

He is an extremely nice and engaging prof. The subject material is pretty mundane and tough to follow, though. There was no real structure to the class. The final is a paper on essentially any topic you want. If you want an easy elective with minimal workload, it's worth your time.

Hicks is a jolly englishman. Class is enjoyable, however you may come out of the year with a scewed conception of negligence. He has apparently chosen to depart from the conventional methods (and sometimes it seems like he's just making it up as he goes).

Hicks is great. But don't mention foreseeability except as a conclusion.
