Prof Jung was AMAZING! He requires students to do work. He has readings, lectures, and papers that help students succeed. It seems overwhelming at first, but he breaks everything down and gives lots of time to do work.

Comment:

Professor Jung gets his students prepared for the upper division courses which is really caring. He assigns an exegetical paper, at first it seems intimidating because its 20pgs but its not that tough because it is broken down to 10 different sections. I really appreciate his style of teaching, his lectures were great.

This professor is terrible at instructions. I could never understand exactly what he was looking for especially when it came to writing papers. His instructions contradicted himself and rarely gave reference to at all what he was talking about. His lectures were non-stimulating and powerpoint heavy. This is not the way I learn best.

Great teacher. Lectures go by fast. Make sure you take notes. Goes over midterm and final study guide. Wants students to succeed. Grades a little harsh but if you put in the time you will be fine.

Jung was a decent professor but he expected the class to know a lot more than we did. If you asked a question he tended to make you feel stupid for asking as if you were to know the answer already. He did give time to re-do the exegetical for more points which was cool but it was during finals week which was very hard. Choose his class wisely.

DO NOT TAKE ONLINE. Professor Jung must this this is a graduate level course or something because the amount of work he assigns is ridiculous. Exegetical paper that was over 20 pages plus two other books reports. Tests are very hard and not enough time is given. While he does make himself available to students, his grading style is very nit-picky.

Wow. I wouldn't recommend taking Jung online. He is a horrific grader and he doesn't give an adequate amount of time to take the tests. The exegetical is hard and he'll mark you down like crazy. Try taking a different LukeActs online teacher or take it in class.

Hardest online class ever. This professor is no help, assigned a 30 page exegetical paper, online tests did not have an adequate amount of time to be finished, and he was very rude. I would ask for help and by the end of the conversation he managed to make me feel like I was stupid for not understanding. Good luck getting anything higher then a C.

Comment:

One of the best professors of Theology on the campus in my experience. It is most certainly possible to get an "A", you just have to put in the work and not slack off. He is a funny and great professor and I would take him for additional classes if given the option. If you have to take Luke/Acts, make sure it is with Professor Jung.

HARDEST CLASS I EVER TOOK!!! For something that is supposed to be all the same material my friends had a way easier time taking it in class. This guy is the worse grader!! Good luck getting an A, its impossible. My C- was the best thing that ever happened. Spare yourself and take anyone else but him

I took this class online. Yes, Professor Jung is a hard grader but he makes himself available to you whenever there is something you don't understand. He even offered his online students chances to come to his physical class and get more info on assignments and tests.

I took this class online over the summer and it was amazing. I had a hard time remembering to read and kept forgetting about the class but Prof Jung kept emailing us and staying in contact. It was very helpful. Medium hard tests and the paper is a doozy but I LOVED the class and Prof Jung! I would take him again!

I took this class online over the summer and it wasn't too bad. The reading is important to do well on tests! But only 3 tests and 1 paper. The paper is 20-30 pages. But don't let that scare you. Prof jung gives clear directions for the paper and it only took me a couple days to complete. I would definitly recommend this online class!

Awesome guy. SO helpful, it's unbelievable. Awesome, clear guy. Sure, quite a bit of homework, but listen--if you dot your i's and cross your t's every single night and keep up with the syllabus, it's a breeze and you learn SO much, it will rock your little, conservative worldview.
