I think it says a lot that this is the first and only review I've ever left on rate my professor. Professor Casadont is an amazing teacher and a great person. He is very available to students and works hard to help them wherever he can. This semester was strange but he kept us updated and encouraged throughout it all. Definitely would take again.

Comment:

He was amazing. Hes probably one of the most caring professors I have had here at UGA. I feel like really wanted the best for us and he graded us based on our growth in the class. If you study and participate in class you should be fine. Although I had him online I would have love to take his one of his in-person classes.

Comment:

Steven isnt a good teacher, didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Did everything in his power to put in minimal effort. Would sit in class and aimless tell stories and then gave us like 5 minutes to work with a partner, how does that help me learn Spanish? I get it's flipped classroom but classtime is suppose to reinforce, it's not story time.

Comment:

Casadont was my favorite professor during my first semester at UGA. He is super nice, caring, and tries to make the classes as engaging as possible. I hate taking Spanish, but I loved having him. I am actually going to try and take his class again next semester for another level of Spanish.

Comment:

Professor Casadont made online learning easy and fun. He always came to zoom class with a big smile on his face and asked us how we were (in Spanish of course!) He was very easy to access if you had any questions or needed clarification on something. I highly recommend taking him!!

Hes a cool person but not that great at teaching. Fully zoom course and it was literally up to the student to learn EVERYTHING. He just doesn't seem to care much. He just goes over the chapter and everything else is up to the student. The quizzes and tests were incredibly difficult and absolutely no extra credit. For zoom, he requires attendance.

Prof Casadont is so understanding and brought so much enthusiasm to our zoom classes that I actually found myself looking forward to them, which isn't always the case for me when it comes to Spanish. Participation & HW heavy, as with any other SPAN course, but he made class so productive and engaging!! Always so willing to help outside of class!

I was surprised to see so many positive reviews but I guess rona changed things. His class is fully online. He has a condition where he can't be in person this season which, fine, that's not his fault but he seems so lazy. I have barely spoken Spanish in this class, it's just online textbook reading and online hw. I'm not learning the language :(

He is by far the best professor I've ever had. He is the most caring and truly wants you to succeed. It is a lot of in class speaking, but he makes it so fun and entertaining. There is a fair amount of homework on Connect, but it isn't bad. As long as you put in a little bit of effort and study the vocabulary and grammar, it's an easy class.

I. LOVE. CASADONT. He made class so fun, he cares about his students, and he even takes everyone out to dinner-- on him! I looked forward to his class every day! Favorite teacher I've had at UGA so far.

Casadont is the best! There's no getting around the hours of homework required for this class, but he was very fun and helpful. The class is taught almost entirely in Spanish, but he did a great job speaking slowly and clearly so we could understand what he was saying. My listening comprehension improved a ton over the course of the semester!

He is the hands down the best professor I've had so far at UGA. He's very kind and passionate about his job, and we do a lot of fun activities in his class. He's very understanding and makes you want to learn and go to class. Highly recommend you take him whenever you can!!

Hands down my favorite professor Ive had. Not only is he a great Spanish teacher, he is also very personal and really really cares about his students. He takes time to answer any questions and makes sure everyone understands. Lots of activities in class to practice your speaking! TAKE HIM!!

Take him if you can! He is a great teacher and really cares about his students and their learning. I have never met anyone more passionate about teaching Spanish. Lots of online homework but if you stay on top of it you will be fine.

Prof Casadont is definitely one of the best profs I have ever had. I'm not great at spanish and it had been a while since I had taken it in HS so the accelerated class was a bit intimidating. However, Prof Casadont had me inspired and motivated after the first day and promoted a comfortable and effective learning environment the entire semester

I wish I could have Casadont for every Spanish class I take. He really cares about his students and is passionate about the subject matter. I'm only taking Spanish because I have to for my major, but he made me really enjoy it and want to continue learning Spanish. He also takes his students to Cali n Titos and brought his daughter with him.

Professor Casadont is a fantastic teacher. He cares about his students and makes sure everyone is engaged. Participation is a part of the grade, but he makes it very easy with many whole class activities. There is homework due online before every class but it is not difficult. He also takes everyone to Cali n Titos during the semester.
