He is very animated; it is clear that he enjoys his profession. He goes through the material very throughly and reviews it the next class so you can really understand it. He encourages class participation and gives extra credit if you volunteer often. The textbook is expensive, so try to buy it as soon as he tells you but he definitely uses it.

Although a tough grader, he is very entertaining and makes the material very clear. He knows his stuff and presents it well. I will always recommend his classes. His exams are not easy. There are no give aways in law school, so don't take his course unless you're prepared to put in the work it requires. This is my 3rd course with him. :)

Great professor! His teaching style is relaxed and effective. He drills Civ. Pro. into your brain and gives practice exams before the final. Even Though the material may be dry he is so funny you won't even notice. I recommend taking a class with Prof. Eisenstat.

He is so smart and such a great professor. His exams are tough and he makes you work for it, but you learn so much in his classes. He is very helpful and does not put students on the spot which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere because everyone still participates. He is very funny and interesting to listen to, making class interesting.

Take a class with Professor E if you can! He is a wonderful teacher. I had him for Civ Pro and this elective course. He was equally good at both. Don't let "Film" in the title fool you, this course required a fair amount of work. Movies each week (don't laugh), weekly discussions, a film you present on, and a 20-25ish page paper. Recommend!

Bombed the midterm. Went to see the professor, and his willingness to help was second to none. His ability to teach is also second to none. Suffolk should use the tuition money it receives to clone him and use the clones to replace the professors who can't teach.

He is an amazing professor. He breaks everything down in class so it becomes easier to understand. If you attend class and read there is little need for supplements. His exams can be tricky though. Probably one of the best Prof. at SUL!

It doesn't seem like torts should be a hard course but Professor Eisenstat's exams are difficult. His lectures are definitely clear and he tells you what he's looking for, with a great New York accent, and filled with humor, but it's difficult. He does have a great sense of humor and will help if you ask but don't let the apparent ease fool you, tough.

Eisenstat is the man. His lectures really help you understand the concepts. 2nd semester I didn't even do the reading because he was so clear. He breaks everything down and is always there to help. He is a real cool dude too, his multiple choice are tricky but his essays are fair and he prepares you for it.

Great professor. Very friendly and energetic. Keeps students engaged. He does have some frustrating policies about contacting him before the exams. His exams are not difficult necessarily, but are deceptive and can be tricky. Overall, a fantastic professor.

Can't believe someone from my own section gave him a bad review! Didn't see anyone sitting down when we gave him a standing ovation at the end of our last class. Eisentat is the man! Makes CivPro as simple and entertaining as it could possibly be, he is hilarious. Show him you're paying attention, and he'll LOVE your section!

Amazing professor. The only negative is his computer policy which will make me never take a class with him again, but he is crystal clear. Attend class REGULARLY and pay attention, do the reading and use his hypos and you will do well. A lot of fun to have he's funny and clearly enjoys teaching!

Pretty fair professor. Obviously interested and knowledgable in what he teaches which is reflected in his enthusiasm and care when teaching the class. Holds posted office hours, but probably not around otherwise. All around a decent professor and super entertaining (especially for a Civ. Pro. Class)!

Often very unclear, confused while lecturing. Diagrams are absurd. Tests are extremely vague, unfair overall.
