Comment:
Dr. Francisco is a kind, witty, and engaging man. Unfortunately, he's also often terribly unorganized and demonstrates next to no accountability for said lack of organization.

His handouts would be more helpful if they didn't take up half the page with his own rants and opinions of the subject - so get ready to ask for clarification... He likes pop quizzes, so do the readings, because he is good for about one a week. Also, pay attention to his projector slides, as he pulls test info directly from here...

Comment:
Dr. Francisco is by far the best English professor at YSU. He is knowledgeable, innovative, and genuinely cares whether everyone understands the subject matter. If youre having a hard time, ask questions! He will literally stop everything to help you. I could not have enjoyed his class any more.

Dr. Francisco is wonderful. Hes tough, but hes very fair. It is not difficult to get a good grade if you do the work and read the assigned material. Make sure you study the power points he puts on BlackBoard.

Comment:
Dr. Francisco is knowledgeable, yet is extremely unorganized and pompous. He will spend several classes fruitlessly examining the same few lines of text, often times dismissing all interpretations except for his own unoriginal opinions. He comes across as very arrogant, and will often not even show up to class... without forewarning or apology.

Dr. Francisco is the best English teacher at YSU in my opinion. He clearly demonstrates his knowledge of the class, and he is very passionate about everything that he teaches. His lectures are awesome, and he's absolutely hilarious. I would take his classes repeatedly if I could!

Engages the class, gets everyone talking, relaxes the atmosphere, and shows the difference between an intelligent teacher and an intelligent person. I learned more in his class than I did in any other at YSU. He's tough, but he expects a lot from students and he's willing to help you get there. Cannot recommend more highly.

He is extremely down to earth and knowledgeable about what he is teaching. VERY challenging course and the pop quizzes are unfair. The only way you can pass is if you know everything like him. The course is just way too hard to take with other classes.

He made it interesting but always gave a ton of info. I recommend having a sound recorder of sometype to make sure you don't miss anything. ALOT of reading and gives pop quizzes. Does not have a lot of grades - midterm, final, 1 paper and an average of weekly quiz scores. Attendance is mandatory.

Dr. Francisco rocks. I never thought I could be so interested in Renaissance literature until taking this class. He does assign a ton of reading but this was a graduate level literature class so that is to be expected.

I took him for Shakespeare and realized I had too full a course load and decided to drop and take another semester. Since then, the guy won't even say hi when passing me on campus. Can't say that I believe I'm the only one that ever dropped his class....kind of wierd but it's true.
