Teacher taught at BCC for a lot of years and is very well respected. He is no longer a teacher though; he retired Winter of 2007. He's a very nice person and always tried to help his students out. Personally I think he's a genius but he just doesn't say it to protect himself or something. I enjoyed being in his class.

I love Professor Reiss. He is a foutain of information, he knows a little bit about almost every topic you can imagine. He gives you every chance to pass his class, if you fail, it's because your lazy. He is AWESOME!!!!!

very easy class. your only "test/exams" are essays that u either take home or do in class but topics are your choice so u can write about what you know. very helpful in explaining what he wants and understands you have other classes and is nice about extending paper due dats. hihgly reccomended!

Alright... You can pass his class easy, he IS a very competent teacher and intelligent man, however on a personal level is pretentious and quite unlikeable. Is an admitted socialist, and will spew his socio-political bologna on a grand scale. Actively ridicules religion and those who might express belief in God.

Not a real college course!!!!This professor is only good in the beginning; he doesn't teach anything and rarely has a dead line for papers. I expected more from this course.Plus instead of reading, you would watched the movie.So if your intrested in a class where u only have to show up once every three weeks, then this is the class for you.

So disappointing.I took an Introduction to Shakespeare class to learn more about the Bard,but esentially all we did was watch movies.If you're one of those students who can't manage to turn anything in on time,take Prof Reiss,he is extremely lenient.If you want to learn something, you will; if you don't, you won't.Att not req.Old ed of textbook ok.

He's a very nice guy although he likes to talk a lot!!! :-D He likes to help everyone in class no matter what the question is. He helps us undersand the class and life in general. He likes to impose his views but doesnt try to change your mind in any way. I recommend him to everyone that wants to take his classes. He's the best! :-P

He goes through the text with you in great detail and even includes some british terminology for your entertainment every once and a while. He's a very good teacher! You can't be lazy to be in this class though, there's a lot of writing involved. He's willing to help and listen if you have a problem. You should not be late or leave early from his class, also attendance counts. Overall the class was awesome and he was very good!
