Comment:

Dr. Shambora is a funny guy who is reasonable and does care for students, but this class was essentially an online course. I think I would have gotten more out of the class if it was more engaging in person, but I just tried to get through it instead. He is there to help, but many times I was not even sure what I needed help with.

I did not enjoy his online class. I emailed him asking for more information about the midterm and final exams and he assumed that I did not want to learn because I wanted a study guide. Study. Study. Study. He curved the midterm but I still ended up failing. The midterm and the final are both proctored.

Comment:

Dr. Shambora was a nice man, but the lectures were god awful. Most people would online shop or be on social media, since you got clicker points for coming to class. He has a sweet grading scale I was failing up until the final and then ended with a solid A. Homework everyday, very repetitive. Take the class and have work but it pays off.

Class was generally easy there was almost no notes and he just talked at you about the topic of money and banking, which he is very knowledgeable about and its was up to you to decide what was worth writing down. Every exam was short answer questions 10 at max and the final was only 6 questions as long as you had some general knowledge it was easy.

good professor. clicker questions every day in class are a huge grade booster. points aren't to scale so tests worth 100 some homeworks worth 400 and are easy online. tests are exactly like the practice exams and really its an easy A. shocked at how many poor ratings he's got here. if you didn't get an A it's on you, not him.

O.k so first off i took this class winter quarter along with my math course and it was alot of reading. i Read each chapter either 2-3 times taking notes and trying to understand each concept as clearly as possible. Practice exams have 3-4 questions that are on the exam but not that helpful. My suggestion skip class and reach the chapters on ur own

You have GOT to be kidding me. This is 100% x one billion million the worst professor you can cross paths with. I took his class and hated every second of it. Tests are extremely challenging as he does not teach one thing throughout the whole quarter. He couldn't do ANYTHING in the world to make his lectures more pointless and useless. DO NOT do it

I sent this guy an e-mail after one of the tests telling him that I was baffled when taking the exam b/c none of the questions came from lectures or the book. I asked for help or if there was anything else I could do to change things. He said "im sorry that your highschool didn't prepare you enough for abstract materials, this cant be fixed." horri

WORST PROF EVER!! His tests are soooo difficult and he is a horrible teacher. His tests do not even come from the book. You basically have to teach yourself. He could really careless about your grade and his lectures are horrible. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Oh William. He is such a nice guy, I just wish he would retire from teaching. Not exactly the best professor I've had. I somehow managed to get an A in the class, but others struggled immensely. If you're having trouble, see him during office hours. He will be glad to help you.

He is one of the worst professors I have ever had. His tests are hard and he puts random information on them that don't come from the test or the lecture. You get extra credit for going to class but it won't benefit you much. His lectures don't pertain to the lesson and he makes uncomfortable comments in class. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

The class is pretty easy for me but Shambora isn't that great of a professor. I wouldn't bother going to class if it weren't for the clicker questions everyday. An easy A for me but some people seem to have trouble with it.

Avoid Shambora at all costs. Class is useless and boring but you have to go because he has clicker questions everyday. Studying for exams is pointless because they dont cover the material. Wiliiam is a nice guy but try to take someone else, if possiible.

2-3 homework assignments per week, practice exams NOTHING like real exams, he has clicker quizzes daily which are part credit part extra credit, class is boring and pointless except the clicker quizzes, he makes changes to tests and homework all the time so checking e-mail is important, exams about 25 questions MC so its hard to get an A

You definitely have to go to class because he does clicker questions daily which count towards your overall grade. The textbook is online and it comes with Aplia which you will use to do all of your homework through. The class itself sucks and honestly I'm not a big fan of Shambora either the practice tests don't reflect the actual exams at all.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! He lets his political opinions influence his teaching and it gets annoying. He sends a bunch of emails and posts lots of assignments and announcements on Aplia and blackboard and you're in trouble if you don't check them every day at least. Unless you're into spending day and night studying for one class, DONT TAKE THIS ONE!
