DO NOT TAKE HIM! He is bad at explaining and hard to understand. The tests are not similar to the homework, even though he tells you that they will be. The tests are tough. Has only one way of explaining. The homework is tough, he still uses the projector...does not want to write new notes. The books edition has changed but his notes and HW hasn't

Absolutely awful. Do not take him if you have another option. He over complicates everything and his tests are nothing like what is learnt in class. Very smart guy but an awful professor

Between the online homework and textbook/hardcopy homework time will be a necessity. he grades fairly, but the tests and homework seem to be far harder than any examples taught in class. He will drone on with the basics, but almost ignore the application of the concept. DO THE HOMEWORK!

The material in this class is VERY hard. Fariborz will however take the time to make sure everyone understands. He also schedules several review sessions to help you stay on top of the material. If you are not good at physics or calc stay away from PHY-202 If you are willing to put a lot of effort into this class you will do fine. Good Luck.

Good guy he definately knows his physics. But at the same time that is his downfall sometimes he gets way to into physics like its everyones profession. But hell help you out if you need it and break things down if you need too.

This teacher was amazing... math and science don't come naturally to me. He was there, 3 to 4 days a week in his office hours (in a physics lab) willing to go over any problem I had. If you need to take any kind of physics or math at suny IT, get to know Dr. Fairiborz. You'll be glad that you did!

Really knows his stuff, and loves teaching it. I think he goes home on the weekend and solves pages worth of physics problems for fun. Very helpfun if you go in for extra help during the office hours.

Great teacher, he loves to teach, he loves any discussion. He took time on Sundays and late nights for tutoring sessions outside of class to help as much as possible so the students understand. I don't know any other teacher that would. He deserves award

I had Professor Fariborz for a Physics 1 labatory professor. He is very helpful and nice to have a conversation with. As a matter of fact, I happened to mention something about electric circuits. He even suggested to me that I take Physics 2.
