I feel like her ratings on here are really harsh and rude she is not that bad. Yes, she does waste a lot of class time ranting on about random things, but it's almost better than a boring lecture. She's not super direct about assignments which is frustrating at times. You only meet in class on monday, and wednesday- friday is online.

AVOID unless you're an amazing writer who needs little direction. She acts like she's an decent teacher then grades extremely harsh. She's always late to class, but expects students to be on time. Once she arrives to class rants over useless topics wasting class time then wants you to stay late so she can finish her "lecture"

This teacher is awful. She barely covers what you need to know and expects you to write incredible essays with little instruction. She doesn't care how well you do. She is always late to class and wastes time talking about Facebook. If you want a real teacher, avoid this class.

I had her for Comp II and she was great! We had to write three major papers and we never used the book once. I had a MWF class with Fridays as an online class. She is very entertaining in class and just has an easy going personality. I would recommend taking her class!

I could not stand this class. She talks so much about things that have nothing to do with the class. From her stints of football watching and beer drinking at Buffalo Wild Wings, to her rants about Facebook and crappy coffee, this class was a huge waste of time.

Very awesome teacher! She is realistic, and fun. Her essays were not to much to ask for, I was in the hybrid course and we turned them in online which was easy. She left comments on the website as well so you can see your mistakes and impove! Love love love her class!

I had her for Comp 1 and learned so much I took her for Comp 2 the next semester. She often runs late and is very laid back but don,t miss her class. If you miss class you will not understand what she is trying to teach and will not do very well. Her classroom humor is worth going to class though. She is a great teacher and I recommend her class.

Lawrence is by far my favorite teacher so far. She is so hilarious and makes class bearable. She loves Harry Potter thus she is that much more amazing. She loves it when people speak their minds. (as long as they now what they are talking about) essays are bearable and she goes into detail on what she wants in the essay and teaches you how to do it

amy is a great teacher, she is hilarious and you get concepts she teaches, class time goes by fast with you learning something, papers are unique and she loves teaching comp 2. i would recommend her and take her again. class is not a blow off class because there is 3 papers but it is easy to get through.

funniest prof I've ever had! she really makes class interesting and enjoyable. The essays are pain, but she'll help you get through them. always willing to stay after class to clarify anything you need. I emailed her with questions and she ALWAYS emailed me back with good info that didn't need further clarification. go to class and you're good.

She is a really great teacher. I like English to begin with but she definitely keeps it interesting and she is freakin hilarious. She tells you straight up she may offend you and she doesn't care whether you like her or not, but you definitely will. She's great and very helpful.

cool person. fun class. comp 2 required a 10 page research paper and 6 page analysis of a shakespeare play along with another small essay. she knows what she's talking about but i wouldn't take her again. doesn't grade your work until a week before the semester is over so you'll have no idea how you're doing.

If you are the type of person whose idea of a great teacher is one who will teach you by utilizing checklists, Amy may not be the best option. However, Amy is an underestimated genius when it comes to teaching concepts. I am a better writer after taking her class.

She keeps it all the way real with everyone. Her style of teaching is extremely in your face. She does not hold anything back when she lectures. With that said, she is definitely willing to work with everyone. If you listen to what she is saying you will get a good grade. Her class is definitely an experience you will not forget.

I took Amy for comp 1 last semester. I loved her class so much, I had to snatch a spot in her comp 2 class! She may seem really goofy (and she is), but she is a very smart woman and a great teacher. If you'll just listen, you will do well and learn a lot. Aside from al that, Fridays are great because you don't have to be in class!
