One of the best teachers I've ever had. He realy has a uniqe character and his class is fun. Maybe not an easy teacher for uninterested students, but would be great if you show some interest.

I believe studying a new language requires many factors like time, energy, and passion. Constantini is great because he gives us these. He synthesizes the most important elements of a language: grammar, culture, and history into a cohesive whole. His class prepared me for more than a language. I was prepared for living a language as a second life.

Costantini is truly one of the best teachers I've had the privilege of learning from. Learning a new language is always difficult but if you're willing to put in your share of the work, he is very friendly and will always be willing to help you. This class was not available at CSUN, so he helped get me into this class at Pierce. HIGHLY recommended

I despise the man. He is absolutely the worst teacher. I take more than 2 seconds to answer a question, and he has the whole class answer it for me as if I was retarded. He just complains all day about the youth of today like some old geezer. Honestly, he killed Italian for me.

Comment:
He loves the subject and is enjoyable. Class moves too quickly with new material introduced before old material is mastered. Not his fault; it's what the department requires. It is enjoyable when he initiates discussions on Italian culture and history, but should avoid current politics. Nice guy overall, does not grade harshly.

He covers everything you need to know, but moves through the material too quickly. He speaks too quickly, making it hard to understand spoken Italian. We are learning, but it is hard to feel confident because we keep moving on to new material too soon. He is not well organized.

This class is for serious students who really want to learn Italian. Don't take it if you just want some easy credits, but do take it if you want to understand Italian. He can be moody, and really hates inattentive students, but he is good-natured at heart and does not grade harshly.

He's really hard, but he's good. If you're in it to learn Italian, or to go to a higher level, he's your man. If you're just in it for the credits, save yourself the trouble.

Good luck doing well in this class if you have a full schedule. He goes very fast and introduces new stuff before you've mastered the old stuff. If you have ample study time, it's great, but I didn't, and this class almost killed me. He's truly a fantastic teacher, and mixes the class up with Italian history and movies. Italian = Costantini
