This class was amazing I took it over the summer and being bad at math I was very nervous but this professor was the best Ive ever had he taught me so much and I wish I could take him again!

If you come to class and participate you can easily pass. Homework is done in lab and he will help you if you can't get it by the 3rd guess. If you write down the formulas on your cheat sheet for the tests its hard to not get a good grade. I would take any class he teaches.

Prof cockerham made my life so much easier. I took a summer course wl him. His grading is clear. Go to class, so your homework & be sure to write everything you need down in your cheat sheet & you can pass. I'm terrible at math, his break down methods are amazing .

Algebra is not my best subject but Professor allows you to bring in one sheet of paper front and back as a cheat sheet for all tests, midterm and final!! I would never have passed without the sheet! If you miss class he doesn't hold it against you but you will fall behind and be lost. Great professor, especially if Algebra is not your best subject

After reading all these reviews I knew I need to take his class because I hate math but I'm required to take it to graduate. And as everyone said that its best to take his class in summer I did and i got an A ))))) never thought I will see A next to math :)

He doesn't give any extra credit and homework is do online. If you need help he'll send you to tutoring instead of spending sometime explaining the problem to you. Take a lot of notes because you're going to need them for the quizzes and tests.

Professor Cockerham gives very clear notes. If you attend all classes and keep your notes as neat as his you are sure to pass. He also allows cheat sheets (front and back) for each test including the final!

Great professor!!I am NOT A MATH PERSON and I did well!!I took this class in the summer and it was fast paced b/c of that. He is very clear, helpful, and wants to see you pass and understand! He is also very funny which is a great PLUS esp. if you don't like long classes or Algebra!

Comment:

Professor Cockerham is a great math teacher. He explains the material step by step and shows you why and how you got your answer. He also lets you use a page of notes for the test so as long as you take notes well you can pass. Make sure you do the online homework's they count for a lot of your grade. Awesome teacher wish he taught other classes!!!

I've taken courses for almost 20 years - not good in math, but Prof. Cockerham is by far one of the best, explains well, good examples. Attendence is key, take notes, pay attention. More than fair for the students who give a solid effort. For those who miss classes - well, you get what you put into it.

Comment:

Awesome professor, laid back, and clearly loves what he does! I have never been a Math wiz and always struggles to get by. I took the Summer course and from day one he was everything and more I needed in a professor. He takes his time teaching, finds ways to fully explain them, and will not move on until you understand the material. I looked forward to going to class everyday. He's very funny and cares about his students. If you want to not only pass, but learn the material, TAKE his class!!!!!!

He was Awesome! Very Understanding.. Made me understand math because Math is my WORST subject and i passed every test given. Absolutely LOVE this Professor.. I wish i could take another math class with him but he's only here in the summer & weekends (sigh) :)
