Comment:

She can be very strict and confusing but ultimately cares about helping you. If she makes a mistake she will penalize you. Can go a little off topic. She can seem harsh and confusing but if you do what you are supposed to you will do just fine.

Shes literally the worst teacher Ive ever had. If youve had her you know what Im talking about, she isnt clear on any directions then makes you fail and then gets mad when the whole class fails when its her fault because shes a terrible teacher. I tried to get her fired but she has a contract with the dean or something so good luck.

Worst teacher you'll ever have. Doesn't answer simple questions or give's rude responses for no reason, Treats students like they are lesser than humans. Doesn't teach in class and talks about her boring life preventing you from learning, Calls students derogatory terms, save yourself because you won't learn anything on psychology.

Cathy Hawkins does not clearly teach any material, she has unclear grading standards, and spends most class period going on random tangents and anecdotes. She openly displays grades without names, our class had roughly 80% of the class failing. Her syllabus was 'very very tentative'. Avoid this class, we learned nothing about psychology. Run. Away.

I loved is professor!! She was really caring and funny, and she made class enjoyable. Check the syllabus, do the work on time, and you will learn the material without trying! Make sure to attend every class and dont be late!!

I respect Ms. Cathy because she wants things done a certain way. There is a lot of homework for the class, but it is really meaningful as it does help your for the tests. She will drop the lowest test score. She does give the benefit of the doubt for grades as well.

Before I started attending this class my friends told me that I should drop this class but I never listen and now I'm regretting. Beware of homework because you will do it untill your butt get sour and your fingers get blister.

Cathy uses the book to lecture, but show up because attendance is taken and read, read, read! She might let you use the book on the exam (time consuming) and gives a lot of homework if you leave it till the end plus quizzes on every section of the chapter. Don't procrastinate!

Professor Hawkins is a funny teacher and very honest which is something that I respect. If you take her class you have got to be prepared to work. She gives a ton of homework and the class is not easy! If you like a normal note taking style with power points she is not the teacher for you.

She's really intimidating and is super rude in her explanations and emails if you ask her a question. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities because you will definitely need them. Make a friend in class so you have someone who is in it with you.

She's a fine professor. After taking a class herself, she revamped the way she teaches. For Life Span, she allowed us to use the book during all the tests! Even on the final. The homework she assigns gets to be excessive if you wait until the last minute to do it. Overall, she's okay if you do what you're supposed to do. Beware of sassy emails.

This was the worst experience! I was in her class for four weeks until i switched from her class to an ACCELERATED 8 WEEK CLASS. I passed the accelerated class with a good grade but with her i was failing by week two. Ridiculous HW and grammer assignments. Very rude and unwilling to help and sends back mean emails. unclear what is due and when.

Comment:

She seems intimidating and strict with her initial assignments about grammar and sentence structure. But after the initial assignments, the work she assigns really helps. Just doing the homework she assigned made me learn a lot and I didn't have to study much for this class. She also gives plenty of extra credit in every unity.

Probably the toughest teacher I have ever had to deal with and one the hardest "A"s I have ever earned. She is very strict on everything and you must do it her way or you get no credit. Only 14 students didn't drop the class out of the original 40ish. Read the very long syllabus. Tests are very tough. She can be rude over email.

Her class was one of the hardest classes I have taken! she assigns a lot of homework, but if you do it all you will past the tests. You can not procrastinate if you want to pass! she is a little intimidating but will help you if you ask. She is very knowledgeable about psychology and you definitely will learn a lot.

If be very wary of missing any classes, its very difficult to catch up with points. However, YOU LEARN SO MUCH!! Also she offers a TON of extra credit which is good to do for cushioning your grade. I would take her again because the information was interesting and she knew her stuff.

She'll give you a whole bunch of homework to do. There are a lot of little quizzes that you have to do before every chapter. You have to come to her office, and write her an email which your name has to be on the subject line in order to get extra credit. Her syllabus is 26 pages long and if you find a mistake, you'll get extra credit. She'sTOUGH.

I am not at all a biased person, however, Cathy Hawkins was definitely one of the worse teachers I have had since high-school. I had taken her Psychology of Adjustment class, and she actually turned out to be sort-of stereotyped- almost even racist! I would not say this if it was not true, she is very unfair and thinks she is better than everyone.

She not a very good professor, she's rude and has a crazy long syllabus filled with TONS of errors. Assigns a RIDICULOUS amount of petty homework online that take forever. Does a lot of trick questions on tests where she puts two answers almost identical.
