He goes on and on and on with pointless stories about his own researching career. There is NO learning going on here. He doesn't know citation, he just wants writing to be "good" with no explanation of what that means. NO GUIDELINES!

This class is a total waste. At times, he can be rather discouraging about teaching. You will learn absolutely nothing about SS; but yet he complains about it not being taught in the schools. I think he randomly assigns grades - seriously! All talks about is his front row seats to concerts... YEAH, that really teaches me what I need to know!

He is in his own world. He DOES NOT teach you anything about social studies and how it relates to young children. The class should be called JENKS 1101 because that's all he talks about...himself. Prepare to be bored out of your mind or prepare to catch up on any sleep you missed the night before

Dr. Jenks has trouble staying on topic. You pretty much teach yourself. He is very unclear on the expectations of the papers, you have to ask him several times about the requirements to get a full answer. Even then, some things are still unclear.
