I've heard nothing but scary stories about workload of 315, but I knew there was a reason why people liked it. I found that reason out. Giant lab reports don't scare me anymore, massive projects don't scare me anymore either. The class made me realize what I was capable of, and that is an invaluable piece of knowledge.

Had him for 310 discussion and he was always willing to help and answer many questions, he does expect you to work hard and struggle. Write down everything he says because he gives a lot of good information all the time.

I really enjoyed Dr. Patel's class - he is an excellent professor that really cares about his students. He does a good job explaining the material and is engaging enough to keep you interested in lecture. That said, you have to work hard in his class, since the material he covers is not to be taken lightly! Work hard, and he's your best friend

Great teacher who is willing to answer questions and help with labs/project; extremely knowledgable and also very down to earth. Labs and project are very time consuming (moreso than any other class by far), and the exams are hard but they are curved. You will learn a ton in this class but be prepared to work, a lot.

Tough teacher and demands a lot. However you will come away from his class knowing more than any other class. Expect labs to eat up large chunks of your time including weekends. But again, the rewards will be worth it in the end. He is sometimes a bit hard to understand but he knows his stuff like the back of his hand. Take his classes.

Talks to fast and with a heavy accent. Would sooner make fun of you than answer your question. Make sure you go to class everyday, because his slides are worthless without his abomination of a lecture, and there is no book.

Prof Patel taught the assembly part of the course, and outside of his midterm was not so bad. He is hard to understand and basically reads the slides, but is willing to answer questions. Be warned he pairs with Bourner the worst teacher ever.
