I liked this class overall. He does tend to ramble in lecture. As long as you go to the discussion and read the books, you'll do fine. He is very easy to talk to. The test are fairly easy. As long as you read you'll be fine. Overall I really enjoyed the discussion part of this class.

I had Dr. Talley for Theory and really liked him! Not only is he very pleasant to have in class and super helpful, but I love discussion, and he always allows for it. He'll always answer questions. The best way to understand the material is to read the book and get together with classmates to try and figure it out. Take him!

Professor Talley has very little comprehension of what alienation is. He looks to the class to "discuss" it and figure it out amongst ourselves with him providing no direction and no pausing us to tell us if we're on the right track. I strongly recommend you avoid taking a class taught by him. He is a very nice man, but not compromising on what's better for the class as a whole.
