Dave's an awesome teacher, and a damned good guitar player! His class was my only morning class that I really liked. He's understands how long it takes for people to pick up the instrument for the first time, and by far my favorite teacher. If you want to learn guitar, and want to do it right, TAKE HIS CLASSES.

(Studio 1, stayed for 2-4) If you practice, you learn. Great musician. Pretty good teacher. Great book for sight-reading notes, chords, rhythms, + pentatonic improv. His/his students' skill will motivate you. He repeats stories/announcements. Too bad. Practice patience. Studio 1=1 ensemble song, 2octave arpeggios/scales, intro to pentatonic improv.

He's a great musician. if you don't have time to practice not the class for you. jumps around and will be talking about one thing and then tells a story irrelevant to what you are doing. class is actually not 3 hours. splits it into to parts level 1 and 2,3,4. it was cool at 1st but got frustrating b/c you dont get the full time you were promised.

a musician first, teacher second. really cool guy and cool teacher. lectures are good but he jumps around a little and it can get confusing. he doesn't use a textbook so you have to go to all the classes or you'll fall behind. very little homework and straight ahead mid term and final. likes to relate songs with the topic of the days lecture.
