I've been playin guitar for 5 years, I just took it as a fun class to learn some new elements. Definitely helped to know how to play already, I never really had to practice more then a few play-thrus. Got an A. His is slow and kinda boring, but you'll learn correct fingerpicking techniques and some cool songs.

Very clear and helpful. You will learn some cool songs too like the beatles and simon and garfunkel. laid back guy who truly loves music. take this class. guitar is magical!

Excellent teacher! Tooo bad I’m not an excellent student I got a D because I didn’t practice! You must practice!!!!!!! But I enjoyed to variety of songs we learned and plan on taking it again! It might be a 2 unit class but you need to practice!!!!!! MUS 116

Comment:

Very relaxed class, mostly finger plucking style is used when playing the guitar. I like it. Anyone can learn. Make sure you buy his books though, you can't take his tests w/out them.

Great teacher! Very dedicated and interesting to be around. Course is very easy. No experience in guitar playing needed because he starts off very basic in the beginning and by the end, you're playing some popular songs. Very helpful to petitioners as well.

Great Prof. Has Played for 40 years. Teaches classes in a way that ANYONE can learn the classical guitar. I've taken 3 times and have plans for 2 more. A++
