I took this class online for flexibility during the summer. massive amounts of reading 7-300 word discussion board posts with 2 required peer responses per post 5 powerpoint presentations with a minimum of 15 slides each 5 tests 1 personal essay 1 research paper WITH corresponding video 1 term paper If you can choose another section, do it.

I cam on here and thought people were exaggerating about this teacher, but oh my god shes horrible! She gives tons of homework! like come on its only a month class. Has a total of 16 discussion boards, three essay papers, both with part 2, 5 presentations and 5 tests no study guide. If you miss doing the peer reviews, she automatically gives you F

I took world religion as an elective credit, since I am interested in the subject BIG MISTAKE! this class made my summer MISERABLE! the class it self was not bad but the amount of Homework is RIDICULOUS! up to 3/4 300 word discussion boards, web presentation per subject! LONG time consuming EXAMS, plus APA 1 or 2 at the time 2 pages long. HORRIBLE!

Not the teacher I signed up for, they switched to her at last minute. So many term papers and essays and have to make a powerpoint for each module. I have a good grade only because I have been working like crazy on her work. Gives ton of work so be prepared to have a heavy load every week! I don't recommend if you just want an easy A.

If you have other classes and are even "fairly confident" in math, you will have to work your butt off for an A.. I didn't do well, asked for a two day extension she would not give it to me, I wish I took the advice of others not to take this course online..

I took this class online (Math is NOT my thing) and it was a BREEZE. Test grades in the 90's on all 4 exams (taken in the testing center) and the HW is easy. Get it out of the way ASAP because she makes it all available from day 1. SUCH an easy class, and Professor Voehl is very understanding that things come up. Would take again in a heartbeat!

Worst Professor I've ever had in my life. Does not care about students at all, throws students into exams totally unprepared! Explains two easy problems of every section and has students go home and do 150 problems on their own. She is rude and condescending to students. She humiliates you for asking a question. Told class "to change Major"!

It was a tough class, there was a lot of homework that had to be done each week and the tests were pretty tough. If you are a math wiz the class should be pretty basic but if you're like me and haven't been in high school for 10 years DO NOT take this class online like I did. She was very understanding and she is a good professor.

Professor is really nice and works with you on your grade. All home work and quizzes are easily done, but the tests are hard at the testing center. Brought my grade down. If you need hands on learning I wouldn't suggest this class.

NOT an easy A by any means. Definitely be ready to work. However, Ms. Voehl always kept us awake, laughing, and interested. I loved those marbles she would bring to class to symbolize how many weeks we had left. She is there to help you, and she will help you if you need it.

Took the class online. Her videos are very in-depth and packed with material. The only problem is that she's nearly impossible to get in contact with if you have a question. If you're good at working on your own and you don't need help in math, definitely take this class. You can learn at your own pace. Don't need a book but she uses MyMathLab $98

Prob the best math teacher I have ever had. Calc is a tough subject, you cant just show up and pass for this class. She goes out of her way to help you, and finds away to make it interesting. Not too much HW just the standard web assign, and shes very generous with extension requests. Definitely would take again, she changed the way i see math.

Comment:

You have a better chance learning from a camel. This class is more difficult than running through quicksand with lead foot shackles in the middle of the rain forest. Tests feel like drowning and may result in paralysis or death. Would not recommend this class to anyone.

This class is HARDDDDD. its Calc 1 with her and if you are thinking about taking this class then take advice from someone who has aced all other math classes leading up to this. This class is the equivalent of 2 or 3 math classes in one. The teacher try's to teach using echo recordings but overall it's a failure. DONT TRY TOTEACH YOURSELF JUST RUN.
