I had her for a class and I was so close to dropping it. She was so rude and treated students like they were five. We weren't aloud to go to the bathroom or eat during class!!!! She also called this one girl in my class "disheveled" and it was so incredibly rude. I would stay away from her at all costs!

I had a small class with her (only six students), and it was very informative. She has a lot of experience in her field. But, she can seem a little...spacy at times, like she isn't there with the class most of the time.

Had human sexuality with her first and only anthro class with her. I dont feel like she was condescending or rude to anyone in the class. She is friendly and very enthusiastic about the subject matter.

This woman was repeatedly rude and closed minded to me a several of my peers. From my view, she has very little respect or regard for her students. The work is asinine and Dr. Picchi lacks a firm grasp on reality.

I've had Debra for about 5 classes and each time is a good experience, she's a very fair grader, has good anthro experience and is very understanding. I would recommend Global Problems (AN221) as well as the Global Citizenship Certificate. No complaints!

She's just not a good teacher, nor is she realistic. For example, she does not believe that we are ready to read anthro theory before grad school even though grad schools expect us to have have some general knowledge. Lets just say that she treated 400 level class like a 100 level. You can learn stuff from her, but she's not that great.

I don't agree with the negative comments written about her, but people are entitled to their opinions. I had her recently and thought she was really cool. But then again, I am only speaking for my experience, not everyone. She helped me if I seemed to have trouble with something.

Without question the worst prof I've ever had. Very bias and narrow minded in her teaching and grading. Plays favortism to a few kids in the class and ignores the rest. Not open for dissent or debate, only her extreme view points. I do not reccomend her for ANYONE, especially you males out there. SHE WILL HATE YOU!

i loved how she treated me like i didn't belong in some of her classes because i was a year behind - oh wait, i graduated in three years! maybe there WAS a good reason for a junior to take the senior anthropology theory class... guess that was just her mistake... aside from the fact that she acted like she was better than all of us children - and i definitely noticed her giving some attitude to the other anthro staff as well(probably because us students liked cough*KELLI*cough better....)

I hate this woman with a passion. She an idiot. She has a huge ego. She thinks that she is smarter than everyone else. She is condescending. She treats classes like they are in kindergarten. I coudn't stand her. Her classes were not particularly challenging though, and interesting subjects if you are in the field, however would have been infinitely better if taught by ANYone else.
