Honestly if you come ready to learn and put in the work you will do fine! He is always there for you if you have questions. However, if you are use to getting everything handed to you then get ready to have fun!

This is the worse professor at App State. His video lectures are explaining level one concepts but his exams are wordy and don't make sense whatsoever. He is not helpful outside of class and is overall a bad professor. I do around 25 hours of studying a week (on top of lectures) to make 60s/70s on quizzes and exams. He will make you feel stupid.

This dude sucks. If you are advanced in finance he is awful. He goes in depth on the easy stuff and doesn't cover any of the hard material. I could see him being ok for a beginning level finance course. However, he isn't very good at teaching/knowing advanced finance. Not the smartest guy in the world, that is for sure. Avoid if possible.

I've never experienced a teacher that was so tough when it came to his classwork, he gives 3-5 question quizzes with very specific questions and 8 or so answer choices to pick from. If you miss one, you automatically have a bad grade. Try to avoid this professor at all costs.

Tries to intimidate students & constantly tells you this is the hardest class youll ever take. Material isnt too bad he just picks out small details & really makes you work. Multiple choice questions will have 12 options so you cant guess. Isnt approachable at all. I am an A/A- student & will prob get a C. Also wasnt understanding about the corona

Terrible teacher. Takes easy material and nitpicks the tiniest details to produce anxiety-inducing questions. This class should be the easiest A, but I'm now border lining a D, even after watching those insufferable Dave Ramsey videos.

The material is pretty basic, and the online portions are easy to understand. However, Goff's testing method is terrible, especially considering how straight-forward the material is, being laced with trick questions and focusing on minute details. I hope you like Dave Ramsey, because he appears to have an unhealthy fixation on the man.

Took this class online over the summer and loved it! You spend the same amount of time working on it as you would for an in-person class but you learn SO MUCH real world stuff. All you do is watch Dave Ramsey videos and take a quiz on each chapter, with a midterm and a final. Take this if you want to learn material you'll actually use in real life!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE. It is absolutely difficult to succeed in this class. The tests are ridiculous, and the videos are extremely long and ineffective. The tests are based on these really obscure quotes amidst the long videos. Dave Ramsey teaches you the entire class, and you will learn a lot of helpful stuff but it is still horrible.

Basically all you do is watch Dave Ramsey videos. They actually are interesting and if you fill in the blanks on the worksheets provided on Ramsey's website you'll have all the answers to the quizzes and exams. And you actually learn important information you will be able to use in life.

Dave Ramsey teaches this class basically. Dave is GREAT! makes the material easy to get. The video code costs about 70$ which is steep but oh well. Dr. Goff's tests are INSANE. He doesn't give study guides. But the class itself is very helpful to those who want to be smart with their capital.

This guys class is one of the most ridiculous classes I have ever taken. The test are insane and the videos are overly time consuming. Although I got an A in the class I worked way to hard to for it, considering it's a basic finance class. I Don't recommend his class at all.

I had zero interest in taking his personal finance course before the class started. I am an education major and do not really enjoy numbers. Dr. Goff is stern and likes to give off the bad cop vibe, but if you ever need help in his class, he is more than willing to help during office hours. WATCH THE VIDEOS. This class was very rewarding. TAKE IT

I thought this was going to be one of the worst classes ever, lots of rules and things, but I can tell you one thing. I worked my rear off for the A that I got and I learned a lot in the process. Dr. Goff is a bit ego, but I guess he deserves it since hes been successful. If you are lazy or stupid, don't waste either of your time.

Dr. Goff is very egocentric. Takes pleasure in making the smartest students in the business school turn red in class. Has TAs grade tests and quizzes. Answers are wrong until proven right. Office hours are not of much help. I worked extremely hard to get a C. Avoid this teacher at all costs.

The material can be difficult, but if you take responsibilty and put in the necessary work, you will learn some very valuable skills. Dr. Goff will help you during office hours and you are given everything you need to succeed in his class.

Goff is a hard teacher but he is very good as well. his test are pretty tuff but you will learn alot from him. I would advise to take him. he will try to scare everyone the first day by telling you his tests are the hardest you will ever see, but if you prepare you will know the info and its not too bad,.

Dr. Goff is a wonderful teacher. I took his 8am class this semester and I look forward to going to his class every day. He provides REAL world examples and teaches you personal finance as well as corporate. If you are a Finance major you need to take Dr Goff for Intro to Finance, you'll be doing yourself a huge favor.
