Dr. Clemence's blueprint for an asynchronous course was great. He gave us plenty of opportunity for makeup work and extensions. He makes himself available all week. I do recommend reaching out to him, or go to office hours, the moment you feel lost because he does want his students to pass. I got every extension I asked for.

Do your work, go to office hours, study outside of class and you will be fine. His class is challenging, and you won't get an easy A but you will know the material at the end of the semester. He lectures on the material that will be on the test and quizzes so pay attention. He also gives plenty of opportunity for extra credit.

He is definitely my favorite teacher. He gives out a LOT of extra credit and follows the syllabus. He really gets to know each one of his students especially if you visit him for office hours. He is also super funny, so I'm literally never bored in that class. As long as you take advantage of the opportunities he gives you, you'll get at LEAST a B!

Great professor if you want to learn Calculus. Gives 10 pts extra credit on all tests as well as retakes and other chances for extra credit. He can be condescending at times, but he actually cares about you learning the material. If you're ever lost, ASK for help. If you know how to do all the questions on the practice tests, then you'll be fine.

Clemence was graded the worst professor btw during the evaluation process.(2018) He does give make up test. His grading is very weird, does not follow the syllabus.

Dr Clemence is an amazing professor, I have learnt from him. Calculus 2 is an important class, and yes if you dont do your part (keep practicing and solving problems as many as possible) then you wont pass this class. He lets you grade your work, and I think this is very helpful so you really learn from your mistakes.

Clemence gave many opportunities for extra credit. He cares for all his students and gave extra credit opportunities every day. Most people didn't like him because they didn't want to do things on their own and were lazy. Study the materials before and after class. Come into office hours for help from the tutors available and from your classmates.

Clemence is a teacher that you take if you want to really learn calculus. He will not let you take the easy way out and it will require a lot of studying. All of his assignments are hard and he personally will not help you as he expects you to be able to use your classmates and other resources to figure it out. He will not hold your hand.

Dr. Clemence cares a lot about his students, even if it seems like he doesn't. If you go to his office hours, you will pass his class.

If you put in the work, you will do well in this course. I had prior exposure to differential equations, so I chose not to study as much as I needed to. It showed in my grades. That said, the instruction was very good. Dr. Clemence is still one of THE best professors I have ever had.

Avoid his class at all cost. When he comes to class he complains about why his students cannot understand the material and then does not teach you the material very well and skip steps. If you try to ask a question he will say you should have learned this in 3rd grade and still not answer your question.

Clemence is the type of teacher that will make you learn Calculus for real. There's no way around it. If you don't know your stuff, you won't pass. The good thing is that he's super helpful in office hours and he can be pretty funny too. Office hours will get you on his good side. Be ready and willing to learn!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The first day of class this professor said more than half the class would fail. He has stated multiple times that he gets paid whether students do well or not. He refused to answer questions several times. Very condescending attitude towards students. Doesn't use the book.

Dr. Clemence is a good teacher & you can pass his class if you put in effort. It is possible to an A by just doing well on the tests and nothing else (you get up to 20 points of extra credit each test/there are retakes & practice tests). However if you struggle in math, as long as you go to tutoring, do ALL your hw, and ask for help you'll be ok.

Read the assigned section and other resources before class, do your pre-class quiz, pay attention in class, and do the homeworks on time. If you do all those, you will pass. Be prepared to see Dr. Clemence and tutors a lot if something does not make sense. Fast-paced class. You will be left behind if you fall behind.

He has the best hat, all joking aside Dr Clemence is an amazing professor. During class he does an excellent job of introducing challenging/new concepts in an intuitive manner. He had us grade every assignment except for the final exam and I found that really helped me understand where I went wrong and how to improve. If you like math take Clemence
