Always super enthusiastic about what he's teaching, love going to his lectures! Not many demos, but the few he shows you are quite awesome. really helpful, was not afraid to ask questions cause he is so dang cool.I'd recommend him any day.

GREAT prof! He explains things well, but you should keep up with the assignments so you get used to the problem types. He is extremely nice and seems happy to help you when you have a question. RECOMMENDED. Very enjoyable and understanding. :) You can tell he understands what he is explaining. PLEASED TO HAVE HAD HIM! :)

Don is very energetic about Astronomy. He writes all the notes you need for quizzes on the board. Go to class and you don't need to look at the text. Love the physics jokes he makes!

I absolutely love attending his lectures. Dr. Vandenburg is passionate about what he does, very cleary about what he is teaching and very approachable. One of the best profs that I have encountered. I am bummed that he will not be teaching the second half of the course.

Very good teacher, I never took Phys 11 in highschool and yet I can still understand the basic's for what is going on. Very friendly and approachable, and good help. I thought I hated physics but after a couple weeks of his class, i've found i actually like physics.

Super nice guy, and you can tell he is really into Astronomy and teaching, but still it can be hard to stay awake in class. This class has a very hectic workload if you are just looking for a 100 level elective. However the material is easy enough.

Great professor, clear lecturer, very kind and approachable, makes sure everyone understands the material. There is no midterm, only quizes and assignments on alternating weeks. This course is perfect for people who are interested in astronomy but afraid of physics.

Don is a great prof. He is very approachable, and definetly knows what he is talking about. He even puts on cool slide shows of his vacations! If he doesnt know the answer to something, he will not fake it, and will find out for you asap. Great prof.
