OK WHERE DO I START, THE CLASS ITSELF WAS VERY FUN BUT WHEN IT COMES TO GRADING YOUR WORK MR. KAYA IS NOT THE MAN...HE WILL GIVE YOU PAPERS AND TELL YOU TO CHANGE SOMETHING WHEN YOU CHANGE THE PAPER IT WILL STILL BE WRONG...THERE IS NEVE A RIGHT PAPER IN HIS CLASS YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE TO REDO THE WORK

Extremely confusing. Does not give out any syllabus. The way he teaches and wants his papers are not clear. You may have to re correct your papers more than three times before he can give you your grades. He makes the class pretty difficult more than it should be. However, Mr. Kaya is pretty interesting and he is nice.

The way he corrects paper sucks. He tells u what u got to fix, u fix it n he something else u have to fix. He trys to be funny but he is not. Class is boring. He does have favorites in class and he likes to get to know them more than others.

So at first I thought this class was going to be fun and easy but I soon found this class was the biggest waste of my time. We didn't have a textbook which would have been fine if he actually gave us useful information. he says that attendance is mandatory but when I would miss class and ask for notes my classmates we didn't learn anything.

Assignements are never clear as to what he wants specifically. He has FAVORITES and usually speaks to the same people every class meeting, others are left on the side. I do not recommend this professor.

Mr. Kaya says that he has a PhD, but in what? He works as a court mediator, yet he is surely vague in his teachings.He confuses his students and can't grasp how to effectively write an eight page paper. It is best that students go to the LRC in order to become effective writers. Prereq is eng 100, yet it appears that he teaches below that level.

His class was easy but I hated it. You'll learn interesting new things about culture & what not but it's just the way he teaches is horrible. He will confuse you on proper outline &essay formatting since he has his own preferred way. He plays favorites & is too vague.Just make sure to draw Sky Gate &write an 8pg paper on a intercultural experience

Best teacher ever! Makes class fun and entertaining. He engages in a lot of group discussions which makes the class partipate. This is the first class in which everyone were friends. Super easy (even if it was an honors class) and educational. Highly recommend this course! He's the best

Mr. Kaya's intercultural communication class isn't merely a class about different cultures, it's definitely a class about how cultures relate, react, and sometimes, clash with each other. His class is extremely easy, 6 2-page "cultural reports" of which you get to experience a cool cultural event, and a 6-8 page paper for the final.

Mr. Kaya is different from other teachers. He will not read stories to you from the textbook. Instead he will ask you questions and force you to WILLINGLY (wink*) think critically. 297H is a mediation class that is currently not offered anymore and not likely to be offered again. If you want to learn about and how people think, take this class.

Some people like him but i didnt. he has his favorites. he barely has test but when he does, its about nothing you learned. he goes off topic and is quite boring. if you are the kind of student who likes to not come class but expects an A, this is your class.

Awesome teacher, always cracking jokes. Attendance is mandatory but class is fun. There are 3 major speeches - easy. Get minor quizzes. Come to class and do all the speeches, guaranteed A. Recommend teacher.

If you're outspoken then this class will be easy for you. Just participate and you'll do great. You'll hardly use the textbooks. However, i found his quizzes pretty hard if you don't read the chapters he assigns thoroughly. You have to truly understand what you read and hear him say.

Nice guy, very empathetic. To do well you'll need to participate in class. This class will make you think about yourself and your core beliefs. Textbook used, but not heavily; BUT it was absolutely integral to one assignment! He's a little disorganized, and I lost track of what writing assignments were due when. He's very flexible, though.

Overall a good teacher and I would reccomend him. He is kind of cheesy sometimes, he's not really as funny as he thinks he is, I think most people just laugh along so he dont feel bad. Sometimes rambles on about a lot useless stuff. I feel bad saying negative things, because overall he is a good guy.
