If you Apply yourself, you will do fine. I went in her class with no knowledge of writing a paper at college level. She help me overcome, and even met with a conference allowing me to make a better grade. After every paper that was wrote, she would tell you the pros. and cons. about your essay. She is very helpful and considerate.

i went into the class wanting to learn more. She was useless. When i would write an essay she would mark my essay and i would go back and ask her what i need to do and she would refer me to the book, she wouldnt even help me i failed her class. I took it again in the summer with a different teacher and passed with a A. I wouldnt take this class.

I started out the course not knowing if I would like her or not, but she ended up being a very good teacher. She isn't your everyday English teacher. She would rather read a good story with a few errors, then read a perfect paper that was boring. Just be sure to use SPECIFIC EXAMPLES in ALL papers for the best grade!

Ms. McCroskey was unprofessional in the way that she would call out her students in front of everyone. She graded the papers like she was proofreading someone who wants to be a writers work-way too critical. I would not recommend her.

Worst teacher ever!! Failed me for not writting my eassy's good enough, she gives you no slack with them. Retook english in the summer, with Collete and passed with an A+. i would never take her again.

Lots of reading, but the tests and papers arent bad. She will look over papers ahead of time if you get them done early, and can make better grades on them. Easy teacher, not that strict on her papers really. Highly recommend!!!

Mrs. McCroskey is a really nice teacher. She is an old fashioned teacher, which is why I believe most students do not like her, but she is extremely helpful. If you want a good paper, you must be willing to take some criticism and use that criticism to your advantage. Thanks to her, I am not terrified of writing papers in my other classes.

She was a great teacher. there was a lot of work,but she would give extra time to turn in papers. She aws always willing to help you out. the research paper was the biggest paper we wrote. She had do it in the middle of the semester, so we would not be as much presssre on the time line. GREAT TEACHER!!!!

I'm not so sure it was the instructor that made this course as bad..But the amount of papers req'd were unnecessary. WAY TOO MUCH!!!The grading scale was not based on the work, but more on what she may have thought a more professional writer would have presented. Eng dept needs to re-evaluate this course requirements.

I would say a little too many papers. If she would drop the paper we did right befor the finial i would have been happy with the class. Over all, if you do the work you get the grade. Just be ready to do a lot of work and sit in class for the full time your spos to be there if not longer

S0o0o0o0o much work! 8 big papers and the finial is a full 800wrd workcited outlined paper+ test questions in CLASS. GIVE US A BRAKE McCrosky!She can be mean and she is NEVER understanding. It is very hard to get an A in this class.she reads the hell out of your paper and cuts no slack. She marked me wrong on stuff i have never ever heard of.

She isn't an easy teacher, but if you do the work you'll get the grade. If you ask she'll help. I asked a lot of questions and she was always willing to take the time to help. I made an A in the class. The only thing that was really hard in the class in my case is the fact that I hate to write papers.

I had her for Dev. writing and for comp 1 can not stand this woman!!! She based my grade off what I did in Dev. writing and she refused to waver ever though her scale in dev. writing was much easer.
