Was provided with 5 min lectures and expected to understand the course material. Learned everything through assigned readings and not through the professor. Gave little to no feedback on our reflections and assignments which made it impossible to improve. At the beginning of the semester her computer broke and she didnt give lecture for a month.

Although I am receiving good marks in her class, I have had to work extremely hard to get these marks. Heather is unhelpful, rude and extremely unapproachable. Flat out tells people they are "wrong" when they participate and provide their opinion. One of the worst prof's I have ever had. In a 12 week class she herself has only taught once. Awful.

Heather was so awesome. I would take more of her classes in a heart beat. So helpful during consultation. I would suggest meeting with her for presentations and papers as she was she was super helpful to get me started, and enjoyed to get to know me one on one! Great Prof!

She is probably one of the most intelligent professor's I've ever met. She does genuinely care about her students and the topic, but you have to make an effort too. I agree with the previous post that suggests trying to talk with her before slamming her, maybe you'll learn something, I sure did.

THE MOST unmotivating professor I had in my 4 years at Brock. She came off as though she WANTED us to fail. She was unapproachable and marked her tests as though we were the stupidest students she had ever met. Each year she gets a bad review from the students - how is it possible that she is allowed to keep teaching such an important class??

I not only had her as a professor but as a boss. As a professor, she lacked empathy and was not able to provide any guidance at all. Her marking was unrealistic and she was very unapproachable. As a boss, no difference in her personality at all.

I only had 1-on-1 time with Heather, as she was my thesis advisor and directed readings prof. I have nothing but great things to say about her as a result of our interactions. In guiding me through my thesis, she taught me more than I have ever learned in the whole CHYS program. People should try talking to her instead of slamming her.

Heather is rude, egotistical, and very unfriendly. She is unable to emphasize with students, and is beyond strict. She will try to make students feel bad, and has very much to learn about interactions with other people. Her testing is very unfair, and lectures were very dull.

I loved this course, and I loved Heather. I thought she taught in a very organized and concise manner, and the material was very interesting. The major project, although time consuming, was useful, and she constantly talked about it. Fair exams. I liked it better than 3P15!!!
