Fascinating stuff. Tangents a lot but I think they're interesting. There are a lot of readings and you do have to read them but it's definitely worth it. Easy to talk to outside of class. Really cares about his students. A+ would learn from again.

Overall great professor. He is very intelligent and does pretty well in keeping the class engaged on discussion days. The class is pretty easy only 3 essays. Just try and keep up with the readings and actually listen to what he says during lectures. Typically its all pretty darn interesting if you ask me.

Overall I find him to be a great professor. This class is given on tues. and thurs. so he has one day to lecture about the readings and the other day for discussion on them. During discussion days he doesn't talk at all and lets the class handle the discussion. Since the topics are are interesting its a pretty good class. Heavy readings though!

Comment:
He is a nice enough guy, but he can lecture for a full class period and I have no idea what he's talking about. His lectures are really scattered and unclear, but they don't seem to matter for the homework and essays. There's no tests so the class is easy enough and passable but sitting through it twice a week is a struggle.

Gibson is incredibly intelligent and very familiar with history, politics and theory. His courses are great if you are interested in theory, but those who might not be will find it a waste. He is slightly monotoned, but the material is fascinating enough to make up for it.

Tom is a great guy, who tries to supress his liberal views. He has a wealth of knowledge about the world. His voice is pleasant, almost too pleasant, just get some coffee and you'll be glad you paid attention, he'll blow ur mind man...

He is interesting if you can stay awake, which is pretty hard because he has long pauses and a soothing voice. Very interesting but not really charasmatic.

Very boring lectures but he takes attendance for the first half of the semester. Lots of reading if you actually do the readings, but only 2 essays overall so not too much work outside of journal entries.
