Professor Taniguchi was really sweet, the only problem was that it was hard to understand her. Other than that, she was really helpful, all you have to do is ask! Basically, you do all your homework in class and check your answers when you're done. The homework she gives you in class are the basis for the test, which is open note. Good luck!

If you have to take this course, take Hiromi! She's awesome and funny, and will do anything to help if you don't understand the material. Four exams but they're all open note, and a worksheet for points every class period. She almost always lets everyone go early. I'm a Comm major and hate all things math-related, but she makes it easy.

Dr. Taniguchi is hands-down one of, if not the best, professor(s) Ive had at UofL. She gives great feedback, is super accessible, and does open note tests. She makes stats easy, which I never thought was possible! HIGHLY recommend.

Almost all of your grade is exams, but they're open note and reflective of the material on the worksheets you do everyday. She's super funny, sweet, and willing to help. Makes stats super easy, and given all the resources, it's very accessible to get an A in this class. One of my favorite professors so far! Also, don't buy the textbook.

Very nice professor. Lectures for 20 minutes gives you a worksheet to do and then you can leave. Open note tests make it a pretty easy class. Show up and you should get an A.

Taniguchi is an awesome professor. All of the tests are open note and she is happy to help anyone with any of the material. I was nervous for this class, because I am not the best at math, but she made this class very enjoyable for me. There are worksheets in every class session so make sure you show up!!!! Also, not worth getting the textbook

By far THE BEST PROFESSOR I've had at this university. She makes Stats fun. I had to miss alot of class and she helped me get back on my feet (unlike a lot of other professors). She was very understanding and helpful. She's so cute too!

Hiromi is a great teacher! You just need to go to class and do the assignments and you'll ace the class. She normally has open note open book tests and will let you turn in assignments until the end of the semester.

She has a very heavy accent that can cause some confusion, but if you ask her to clarify, she will. She doesn't take attendance, but you'll do an activity in class pretty much every day for credit, so you wanna be there because you can use EVERYTHING (book, too) on exams. Passed with a 98 without buying the book. Keep up with all the worksheets!

She's a little hard to understand because of her accent, but she goes over the content well. Her tests are easy and open note. As long as you have your notes organized and know what you're doing, you'll do well on the tests. Gives inclass work a lot, so you can't skip too many classes if you want to do well. And she ends class early all the time.

All tests and quizzes were open note open book but not in the way that makes it a cake walk. Wants you to actually learn and understand the stats concepts and why you are doing them. You have to pay attention and try to do well to get a good grade but its not hard. Very good teacher, I would definitely take her again

Not an extremely difficult class, focuses on an overall goal and effectively engages and utilizes group work and will pad your grade at the beginning of the semester. From there on out be mindful of your assignments and you should do well.

I feel this class is a good one to take and may even prepare somewhat for graduate school. she was very helpful and if you had a question she was always willing to take time and answer it. It's a WR credit so we didn't have any tests just individual assignments and in-class assignments. not hard at all!
