I loved Ms. Duets class! She was a hard grader, but an excellent teacher. She was very nice, and was always there to help. I heard bad things before I took her class, but I loved her!

Comment:

Seemed to be easy to work with at first, but it soon became obvious that it was her way or the highway. Gives feedback on rough drafts, but can be rude in her comments on your final drafts. HOMEWORK AND READING AND QUIZZES, OH MY! Also, you have to participate in activities outside of class for a grade (no matter your school or work schedule).

The book is not needed. Gives clear indications of what's expected of the essays. If you're unsure or want feedback for your essay: email her to arrange a meeting and she is able to explain/ help you. There's 3 essays and a final essay. Participation does matter (also part of your grade), so DON'T SKIP CLASS!!!

Posts assignments (with heavy reading and analysis) day before theyre due, very unorganized when it comes to assignment due dates and more, confusing instructions on how participation grades work at beginning of course, strange assignments in general (makes you grasp for straws with analysis, used incorrect literary terms in directions etc)

Comment:

Shes clear about what you need to do for each paper/assignment. If youre confused, just ask for help and shell be there for you 100%. She seems tough at first, but the class isnt bad as long as you put in effort. Show up to class and do whatever assigned homework she gives because participation grades are the easiest grades youll get in here.

This was the WORST and I mean WORST class i have ever taken in my life, and this is coming from a senior nursing major. She does not respond back to emails on time. She is EXTREMELY one-sided as in if you do not think the way she does then its INCORRECT. I would not recommend here to anyone who interested in English.

If you do not think the way she does she will grade you much harder. She told us for our final paper, "If it does't look like something a published writer would write, you will not get a passing grade". Take at your own risk.

I feel like she was unreasonable and she's surely a tough grader. I did feel like her feedback on my papers helped me with essays. If English isn't your strong subject, you will have a rude awakening having her as a professor js. She takes attendance every single day and will not let you make up quizzes without a doctor's note.

Mrs Duet was my first English teacher when I got to college. If you pay attention and do your work she is more than willing to help you. No test, just 3 papers with clear outlines given of what she wants and then the final which is just a reflective essay. She is sorta a tough grader but will always explain if you are unclear on an assignment.

Hard grader. An A paper is a C paper if you miss any of the criteria. Instructions are clear and succinct but don't miss a single one. Attendance is 5pts/day and participation is 5pts/day as well

Besides the fact that she treats students like they are in elementary school, she does her job very well. She expects a lot from everyone so laziness doesn't fly, and you MUST show up to class on time. Don't be late because if you miss the roll that she does at the very beginning of class, she marks you absent if you don't tell her after class.

I liked her, but she was disrespectful to other students at times. She has an attitude. But she was never rude to me and, for once, I made As and Bs in an English course. She does waste your time though (sometimes you'll sit through an entire class and not do ANYTHING). I'd take her class again.

She explains what she wants in her papers very well. She uses the book greatly! Always bring your book to class unless told otherwise. She is willing to meet with students outside of class if needed. Be prepared to also stay in class the entire time- she does not waste a minute in class.

Tough grader, but she gives very clear instructions. She shows you exactly how the works cited page should look on one of the tougher essays. You can go to her office at any time. She'll pretty much call you out if you skip class and don't come with homework. You can't get an A if you coast through the course, but it's attainable if you try.

I hated english 101, and was so upset I had to take 102 but Professor Tiffany Duet made a big difference in my opinion about English and made me feel apart of something bigger everyday in class. I normally wouldn't be one to do homework in the class but she walks you through it and makes you want to participate. Test are easy and she is great!

She's a fantastic teacher! She reads every thing you give her and answers any questions that you have about your papers. She really tries to help you and seems to care a lot. Honestly, I wouldn't take any other teacher for this class.

Taking again for English 102! I LOVED HER! She was a great teacher. She was so helpful and told you her expectations. I feel like I learned so much. DO NOT Forget you're book & attend class, you'll pass! She's always willing to help her students & she gives extra credit.
