Comment:

Janet is not the right professor for the material she teaches. Attendance is graded, but she lectures at the class the entire time she's there (she is late, OFTEN) but she mumbles so good luck trying to process any of the material. Might as well either take the class online or get ready to teach yourself from the book.

Comment:

She is very hard to understand because she is so monotone and mumbles every word. She speaks with zero enthusiasm and stares at the wall, without making eye contact, which makes lectures very boring. No one in the class ever knows what she is talking about. It's an easy class, but you have to teach yourself everything from the Powerpoint slides.

Does she have real knowledge about the topic? Nobody knows because nobody can hear her, mumbles, super boring, never stays on topic and is so all over the place you cannot follow along.

This class is very lecture heavy, Janet does't give a lot of feed back and is very intimidating to talk to. I had multiple questions throughout the course and she didn't answer my questions clearly. Late to class almost every day, I'm pretty sure she didn't know what time class even started. She quotes the book on her slides so don't buy the book.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Couldn't make eye contact with you when you asked a question and made awful jokes no one liked. She showed up ten minutes late to class everyday and let us out thirty minutes early. I don't think she knew when class started or ended! It takes her ten minutes to give a simple answer to a question.

Was dreading this class before taking it and the professor it made that much worse. She was hard to understand would never communicate with her students. I emailed her several times throughout the semester and never once received a response. She is just not a good professor.

Horrible class. She is extremely hard to understand. She mumbles the whole class and talks to her self under her breath. She looks off into space most of the time she's talking. I don't know anyone who is able to follow along with her.

Awful professor, did not know what was going on in class or what she would be talking about, couldn't even pay attention. She would mumble and couldn't understand what she was saying. overall i learned nothing from this class and would not recommend anyone else to take a class with her.

Janet was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She talked more about how big of a democrat she was than actually taught the class. It is a research class not politics. Class was easy but 98% of people in class were on phones. Janet should not even be a professor at KSU in my opinion. AVOID.

Comment:

Research methods. Good teacher & can be funny at times, but humor is very dry. The class can be boring, but it's the material, not her. Her voice will put you to sleep, so drink coffee. She doesn't use the book much and I didn't buy it. Tests aren't too bad, plus she gives good review sheets. Go, and print the notes if they are posted online.

She is my all time favorite professor. The amount of knowledge this woman has is unreal. Lectures are filled with examples, write all of them down and take good notes. Test questions can be tricky, just read them again and they will maked sense. She rocks!

Nice Lady, very funny, class sucks. In Her defense, it is the material that sucks not the teacher. That is of course unless you find analyzing research statistics fun.It takes a while to get used to her mumbling but as long as you go to every class you'll be ok.
