I really, really enjoyed Professor Jeffrey! She is one of the most passionate professors I have ever come across at UMBC. She really cares about the subject that she teaches, and she is so knowledgeable. I am amazed at how brilliant she is. She is very down-to-earth, friendly, and approachable. Her grading is fair, I definitely recommend her class.

Jeanette was probably one of the best professors i have yet to encounter at umbc. She really cares about you and your knowledge and your grade. She knows her stuff but will go on tangents about non related topics. There are map quizzes and 4 exams and a global journal project on a third world country.

Professor Jeffrey is GREAT. When she lectures, take notes. Read the book thoroughly and make sure to put your all in the Study Guides she gives out. This class is very interesting, and Professor Jeffrey is full of knowledge. She will go above & beyond to help serious students :)Recommended! Oh yeah, no texting in class.

She is always late, and has a tendency to run over a few minutes after class is over. Very passionate about global health and nutrition and it shows. Lectures sometimes seemed pointless because none of the material covered in lecture was featured on exams. Interesting class though and still learned a lot.

I LOVE PROFESSOR JEFFREY!! She's so adorable and is genuinely interested in teaching and her students. She loves saying "hey gang!" and always talks about HCC. Probably one of the only HAPP classes I actually enjoyed going to this semester. She's a doll and the class is hella easy, there shouldn't be a reason why you can't get an easy A.

This teacher is really sweet, and she loves what she is teaching. She has a little trouble staying on task, but the information is easy enough that you can get through it without all the lectures. She is passionate about the information, but is not flexible with due dates (cheating reasons, ect). Loved this class!

She is usually a couple minutes late to class, and she WILL keep you to the last minute, which got slightly annoying with a night class. But,she means well and is funny and passionate about what she teaches. She gives good, creative ways to remember some otherwise tricky info. A little unorganized but if you keep up and study you should do fine.

People give her way to much credit. She treats you like you have the mental capacity of a second grader. Not very organized and is perpetually late to class (even though she says she will give you your full credit hours worth by keeping you to the last minute). Overall easy, recommend not taking if you have any biology background

One of my favorite professors at UMBC! She is so full of energy. Provides helpful study guides for each of the 4 exams (non-cumulative). Great bio class for non-major students.

Awesome biology class for non majors (counts as biology for social work majors). Easy to understand, fun teacher... gets off on tangents (learned a lot about Aunt Sally). Be very thorough on essays!!

Helped me understand biology, when no one ever has. She is full of energy at the beginning of the semester, but dwindles down(just like the rest of us) towards the end. Gives out AWESOME study guides, and if you work through it completley, you will do fine. Essays are important - be exact!

An AMAZING teacher, explains difficult concepts very well. One of the best professor's I've ever had. Though she really expects you to know the material for tests (don't leave out ANY details on the essays).
