His tests and quizzes are not always based on reading although he claims them to be. There are many questions that can not be answered by the textbook alone. His lectures, although interesting, do not help with exams. They are purely factual statements that intrigue. At times, he may not be able to answer questions with a sufficient response.

The class was super interesting! A chapter of reading due every other class. Lectures more than made up for my skimming of the readings. Quizzes every other class on the readings were fair and to the point, made the midterms easy to study for. Presentation was easy. If you have an interest in anthropology, evolution, or human behavior, take this!

You can tell he is very knowledgeable BUT quizzes every other day is frustrating, midterms are extremely difficult, and presentation is intimidating because he asks you questions that seem like he is trying to trip you up. He also changed the syllabus last minute without telling anyone and didn't show up to class on the first day without notifying

This class was an interesting experience. The first month and a half resulted in a quiz every single lecture. After we finished the textbook, the class was taught by the students through presentations for the next two months. His test questions are hard and he is more interested in making sure we learn rather than do well gradewise. Really cool guy

He is horrible professor I ever meet, He doesn't care and pay attention to his students at all. For example, Before I gave presentation, I met him two times, each time he gave me 1 minute advising, doesn't help me at all. I spent more time on his assignments rather than any other anthropology classes, but I got worst grade from him

He is very knowledgeable about his field, and pretty much a person like "I do not care what other people think about me". He is pretty hilarious, relatively young professor. If you have an interest about biological anthropology you should take his class. Mid term test was tough but Final was not that hard. Need to ready for quizzes.

He is a great professor! Got me interested in Bioanthropology more. You will have to read and take quizzes but it helps you learn how to pick out important info in a textbook. Lectures include some awesome information and though he goes on tangents a lot they are all relevant to the class and filled with interesting facts.

His class is boring. All you do is sit, take notes, and take a quiz every other class. There's like 16 quizzes.. that's your semester! and then a presentation @ the end, plus you have a midterm and final. I went into that class expecting something different, but it was just so boring. yawn.

Great class, and time flew by each day. He knows his stuff and is interesting and entertaining to listen to. If you take notes on the key terms of the chapters, and jot down some notes from class discussions... you'll definitely get an A. The class has a huge curve. Highly recommend.

He is obviously a brilliant guy, but has trouble delivering the information on a level that most people can understand. Notes are difficult and hard to follow, and there are quizzes every other day on the reading. A cool guy, but I wouldn't recommend taking a class with him

He's both a terrible professor and a terrible person. He doesn't care for or about his students at all, unless he thinks he can use them for something, like free labor in his lab. He doesn't care about teaching at all and should probably go work in a lab where he won't bore students day after day with his uselessness. Avoid like the plague.

I dont know about the professor but his Anthro 117 class is the easiest BS. Different lecturer every class which you have to write a one paragraph response on is 50% of your grade. 25% Online Midterm 25% online final...went to class total of 6-8 times and got an A-. Covers a GenEd too!

This guy is useless as a professor. All he cares about is furthering his own research and career. He cares NOTHING about his students and this is obvious. He is a terrible teacher too, hard to follow and terrible at giving background information, he seems to assume, no matter the level of the class, that everyone already knows the stuff. AVOID!!!!!

He seems to like what he's teaching but he has no clue how to teach. He just rambles on and on and talks straight from the text and he's very confusing. Impossible daily quizzes and tests where the average is a failing grade. All he really cares about is his own research and not about students

He seems like a nice guy but he's not very clear and it's hard to pay attention to him (quiet voice, monotone, he sits at the computer and doesn't move around). A quiz every other class on the reading. No point in taking notes in class, just take notes from the book.
