The material was okay if you enjoy music but it takes a long time completing them. There were 2 big projects but they were easy. Professor himself was bad. He does not help his students at all. If you can take this class with another professor, do it. I took him fall of last year and he was terrible.

VERY unhelpful. you can tell he doesn't care for his students. if you ask him for help, he'll email back one sentence replying something irrelevant. even when you keep asking, his reply stays the same. homework was pretty easy. quizzes are timed and from the book, and listening assignments were not bad, just long.

We all talk about those teachers who don't care if you have other classes to do work for. This is that guy. I had no ability to find time for the work in this class. Takes far too long to finish it all. And it's a 100 class?! No. Ridiculous.

This was class was super easy and it was by far the most fun and interesting class I've had online. 2 "big" assignments that were fairly easy and were no brainers. There are 20 chapters to read and there's always a quiz to it and a Listening Assessment. Take notes on the chapters to get 100% on the quizzes. The final exam is based on quizzes.

All you do is take chapter quizzes and do a summary each chapter, two papers, and get credit for attendance. His lectures aren't really useful for the quizzes, however, it is interesting to learn and listen to. He'll bring in his guitar a couple times to play too. He's super cool.

MUS 125 with Mcintosh is SUPER simple, mostly online. Weekly quizzes and summaries. Quizzes were probably the most difficult part of this class, mostly because of the ridiculous time limits (20 questions in 15 minutes). Definitely get the e-text from GRTEP and have it ready while taking the quiz. Two projects and an online final that were all easy.

Probably the easiest class youll ever take at UNLV. You really dont need to got to class because the quizzes are online and you can read the book. Major assignments are fairly easy. He brings his guitars to class and plays music some days. Would take again if I needed to.

Professor McIntosh is a really great professor. The textbook is required because you'll need the access code for the chapter assignments and the two projects you'll be doing which are pretty easy. I suggest buying the eBook online because it's $49 compared to the actual textbook which is $60. His lectures go more into depth about the chapters.

This teacher is so amazing and whenever I went to class (which was probably half the time,) he was a hilarious. This class is extemely easy, I literally only went to a couple classes and still managed to get a 99%. Just make suret to do the online homework and projects and you're set for the semester.

He's a super chill and fun teacher. MUS 125 is the easiest class I have ever taken. Chapter quizzes due every week, a research paper, a concert review, an online midterm and final. That's it. This is a good class to take with other difficult courses. Jim liked to play his guitar during class.

Very knowledgeable and passionate about what he teaches! Brings his guitar to class on certain occasions which is entertaining and amazing. Assignments consist of two projects, quizzes, and summaries for the chapters! Definitely recommend taking his class for the music and it isn't challenging.

Attendance is extra credit. My class was an in person class, but all the course material is online so you don't really have to show up to class. There are 20 chapters and you just do a small summary and 10 question quiz for each. Final is exam is just from the textbook. I recommend you use the online textbook because its easier to find answers.

This class is super easy and he is a really nice guy! Will bring his guitar to class often and you will watch a lot of documentaries. He says in his syllabus that attendance is required but its really not. Get the online txt book through the class website that way you can search key words and not read the whole chapter for the weekly quizzes.

I'm already a big music person, so the glossing over of most genres was disappointing. Unorganized teacher. His notes are printed, but the bullet points are uneven and there's writing and blacked out areas. Overall boring. Would not recommend for people that know a lot about music. Tells stories awkwardly.

Might as well be an online class. Lectures mostly consist of interviews/documentaries of rock musicians/bands and him fiddling around on the guitar. All of the graded materials are based on the online book summaries (yes 1 for EVERY chapter) & the online quizzes). Other than that 2 written assignments and class attendance (which felt unnecessary)

He brings his guitar to class sometimes, which is pretty cool. You'll only use the book to get the access code and after that, you'll hardly touch it. Quizzes are due every week with a 2 paragraph summary which takes hardly any effort. You're given two projects and they're unnecessarily easy! If you want an easy A, this is the class for you!

Easy class to pass. Show up for extra credit, write a 2 paragraph summary and 20 question quiz each week, and write 2 short papers. Very easy A! I would take again. Plus, he brings his guitar to class sometimes which is cool!

A really great guy who shows his passion for music. He plays the guitar really well and he gives extra credit to those who attend class sometimes. Overall, it is an easy class, just make sure you read the assigned chapters to do good on the quiz and chapter summaries. The projects aren't at all hard. I'm gonna miss this class! :-(
