Professor Maas is great! Really loves what he does and helps you however he can so that you can pass the class. Class has extra credit at the end of the semester than can pull you up a full letter grade. Easy A!

He was such a nice professor , just dont talk while lecture hes talking hell get moody. Class was fairly easy memorizing rocks and different types of name. I recommend having a partner its easier to finish the homework in class. He gives so much extra credit , youll pass with an A forsuree.

He is a very sweet, intelligent, patient, has a love for his field and teaching, he will explain everything you want to know until you understand and get your answer. He wants you to succeed. There are tests on the rocks and minerals so far we are going to have a third one, they aren't extremely hard if you take time to study and ask questions.

Do NOT miss class! You'll regret it. Without taking time to really understand what rocks and minerals you're looking at, you won't pass (or at least do well on) the tests. He loves his field of science, and is a cool guy. Don't slack off. Show up and put some effort into it, and you'll be fine.

Very nice teacher and an easy class. He makes it as easy as possible. There are so many fresh out of high school rude/obnoxious/disrespectful people in there that are probably the type to give him a bad rating. He's good guy, and its an easy class. What more can you ask for?

Most disorganized teacher ever! Always late and gives 15min explanations for a yes or no question. Overall pretty easy and gives lots of extra credit. I went from a B- to an A because of extra credit. Boring subject and he makes you fall asleep. Does not explain rocks properly but test are easy. Just ID the rocks.

Mr. Mass is extremely nice. His class was very easy to understand. Simply memorize the rocks he teaches you, and you'll get an A. No book required. I would highly recommend taking Mr. Mass if you want a stress free learning environment!

This is a fun class. Lecture oriented classes tend to get boring and go by really slow, but with this class time tends to go by really fast. Mr. Maas is really nice and his assistant is very helpful. Take him.

Great teacher and very helpful. Has an excellent assistant Tana. They made the lab interesting and I would recommend to all. Make sure to take notes and attend labs to complete inclass work. No outside homework was assigned other than extra credit.

this teacher is VERY laid back. all you have to do is show up for the classes. doesnt take role, you just turn in the lab work and take the test. test are on rocks and one on sand tho :( (so fun,lol)
