Wicked smart guy, but lectures are all over the place and slides are just a bunch of complex studies so it's hard to know what to take away. "Quizzes" (exam length and difficulty) are ultra specific and there are a lot of them. Class is 100% memorization, but very interesting content. 4.0 is 96 and above so you really have to work for a good grade!

Joe is by far the best biology professor that St. Lawrence has. He is overqualified for what he teaches and is able to deliver a high volume and quality of information. He has been influential in my development of a person and my career path. A&P was extremely challenging, but not impossible; and when you succeeded it was outstanding.

One of the best professors at SLU, hands down. Loves the subjects he teaches. Keeps class interesting and is always available to help with the material. It is refreshing to have a professor that really cares about his students. Definitely take a class with Joe, it's hard but it'll be worth it.
